My husband and I visited Sophia's Lounge as part of our stay at The Ivey's. The lounge was decked out in holiday decor with low lighting that added to the ambiance. We checked in and headed straight to the bar for a complimentary glass of wine. We tried the truffle fries, charcuterie, and the lamb meatballs. Each dish had an amazing presentation and taste. As for drinks, we tried Sophia's Old Fashion, Purple Reign, and Your Highness. The Your Highness cocktail was by far our favorite. It was lightly sweet with the perfect mix of spices featuring a smoked cinnamon stick. Our server Jordan went above and beyond for us during our dining! We recommend a visit to Sophia lounge for anyone seeking a high end night out.
The next day we headed back to Sophia's Lounge for breakfast. We tried the Omelette Lorraine, Sophia's French Toast, Chicken Apple Sausage, and the Queens City's Coffee. Once again the food was amazing and we had wonderful service.

Had a nice time at Sophia’s Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a really cool space. Would be good for a first date. Very loungey and had very comfortable chairs. The bar was really nice too. The bartender was super friendly and made a great drink. I’m not 100% sure but they were two bartenders and I think they were in charge of serving the whole place. I did order a wine and she forgot to give it to me and was very apologetic about it. We had the tequila drink and I wanted a dirty martini and they were both delicious. We ordered fries and they were delicious but they were ice cold. She gave us another order and they were even colder than the first. I was sad because if they were hot, they would’ve been delicious. We also had the sliders and they were good. I still would definitely go back!

Wonder cocktail and dessert experience. It was our waiter's first night, and he did amazingly handling the floor on his own. This would be a perfect date spot, and i look forward to returning.

Service and atmosphere were a 10. Its a must to make a reservation. It was packed, but nice grown and sexy crowd. Everyone was dressy. I was able to make an 8pm Saturday reservation for 4 the day before on a Friday, but I wouldn't cut it so close. Sophia's Lounge is inside the Ivey's hotel, but you need to enter through the 5th street entrance and be prepared to have them check your id. If you're Vegan, you will be limited to the hummus trio, French fries, and/or a salad. All my other meat eating friends loved their meals which you will see in the pictures. I liked 2 of the 3 hummus trio, and the fries were average. I parked on Church street close to trade for $8. The drinks were creative and alcohol well balanced. I would say average spending would be $50-$80.

We came here for some drinks after dinner and it hit the spot. The drinks were perfect. The bartender was so friendly and made sure to take care of us. It wasn't busy so we had privacy and could make ourselves comfortable it's very cozy and romantic in there.

Sophia's Lounge is a great place for a special treat. We were staying at The Ivy's so we got to experience coming down the grand staircase into the lounge. The bar staff are super friendly and are able to answer questions about drinks and even make special requests. The drinks are unique and delicious and they offer more fuzzy furniture than you could ever hope for.

I visited on a Tuesday night and I was surprised to see that it stayed very busy! The lounge is rather small, but it has a cozy, quaint, and home-like ambiance. I didn't try the food, but the menu looked appealing and the prices were on par. The cocktails I had were absolutely delicious and the service was fast and efficient..I will say that it was 90 degrees outside, and it was slightly warm inside (around 80) but that was the only negative aspect of my visit. I would definitely return.

My husband and I stopped in for a pre-dinner cocktail while in Charlotte for work last weekend. The atmosphere is really cool - dark and kind of slinky and sexy. This would be a good date spot. There's comfy seating everywhere. There's a large, large selection of cocktails, beer and wine. I didn't rate the food because we didn't eat but the menu looked good and what we saw others ordering looked good too.

Luxurious private time..! Slip away into another world, have a martini and relax. We visit before or after dinner at The Capital Grill across the street. The furnishings are exquisitely done.

We were actually in the Library room for our holiday party. It can hold up to 30ppl and it was the perfect spot for a private event. Decorated nice and well staffed. We had a great time. Will definitely do it again.

Sophia’s lounge is a delightful speakeasy style upscale bar tucked inside downtown Charlotte. I would give the service seven stars if I could for the amazing hospitality and friendly demeanor. Shout out to Sebastian, Daniel and Molly. The drinks are delicious takes on some good ol’ classics. All the appetizers are generous portions and were great accompaniments for the cocktails. Loved the vibe here and will definitely love to return.

Sophia's Lounge is a stunning lounge with a unique classy atmosphere like no other in the city. Excellent attentive staff with great food and cocktails. Definitely the kind of ambiance I look for in a lounge that would definitely rival anything you'd find in Vegas or the world for that matter.

Truly a beautiful place. The decorations and areas to lounge are breathtaking. Let’s talk about the shrimp and grits...and the delicate desserts. The event I went to was private and made the lounge even more precious hoping to return one day and experience the beautiful setting again...

Sophia's Lounge is beautiful inside... but I think they have a little ways to go in terms of service. We walked in and didn't see anybody around to ask about seating so we found an open couch in the back, only to find out it was reserved. The service was slow, the food portions are small (but delicious), and it just seemed to be full of a bunch of hipsters who were there to be seen and less concerned about the actual experience. Gorgeous and very cute boutique style, but we probably won't be back.
