Review Rocksalt - Charlotte

Quinn was THE BEST! We loved her recommendations and she provided a level of customer service you just don’t see nowadays. 25/10 would recommend! The Cajun grilled oyesters, seafood pasta, octopus and gnocchi, scallops and Mac and cheese were really good. Also the wicked apple Rita was BOMB. You can probably pass on the cheddar biscuits but we did appreciate the chef making them for us before he left for the night.

First time with my older daughter. Zachery was an outstanding waiter. Food came out in a timely manner. The food was spot on. Probably some of the best Mac n cheese I have ever had. My blackened tuna sandwich was killer. My daughter ordered the trout with gnocchi. Excellent flavors.

Rocksalt is located in the back of Park Road Shopping Centet. It’s primarily focused on seafood and offers other non-seafood options and daily specials as well. We had a party of 3 and sat outside in the beautiful weather. The food was good. We started with fresh oysters for the table and oyster chowder. The oysters were fresh with cocktail and mignonette sauces. We also split the Burrata salad and potato hash for the table. The Burrata salad was fresh and the best app we ordered. The top entree was the NC Trout with Gnocchi. Unfortunately they were out of the daily fish special which was a whole tilefish. Perhaps next time we’ll be earlier. Service is good and parking is easy. The shaded outdoor area is the biggest option for seating. The indoor area seems smaller.

The service was great - thanks, Zach! The oysters were good, but everything else seemed to be missing salt, ironically. We could have done without the loud motoring and exhaust fumes from the parking lot next to the patio, but that is what it is.

Our waitress was polite and friendly. The food came out hot and fresh. The bread is freshly made and taste incredible. The tuna tartar was excellent. The trout with the gnosh tasted very good. The shrimp and pasta was superb. I definitely recommend eating here

We had an awesome date night here. Food was excellent. Drinks were excellent. Ambiance was cozy and relaxed. Good music. Butcher Lee, our server, was extremely personable and made great recommendations. We will be back for sure!

The oysters were extremely fresh. I would have like to have gone during happy hour because the regular price can get a little much but it is manageable. The fish dip was tasty and a generous portion. I was a little disappointed that I asked for the price on the scotch I was drinking beforehand and then charged differently when the bill came in. It puts you in the awkward position to dispute the bill so I just paid it but it was unfortunate. Outside of that the service was good. Decent beers on tap. The hamburger was really good and the wedge fries were phenomenal. Overall ambiance was nice. Good place for a date or group outing. All the food was good with the potatoes wedges and oysters taking top spot. The wedges were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The oysters were the best I have had in a while.

Had a phenomenal time thanks to the amazing staff and food. Cheff Nikki and her crew worked wonders in spite of being short staffed. We were served outstanding food and received spectacular service and hospitality. This is a must if you're looking for good seafood, great oysters, and slamming drinks. Can't wait to return for more

Absolutely amazing from service to food! The oysters were soft juicy and delicious, the ceviche was excellent with a guacamole sauce with a slight kick and to the main course the grilled Red Snapper was devine! Drinks were mixed with fresh fruit and great! Will be back!

Cute restaurant with nice ambiance. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I loved the furniture and the openness of the restaurant and would like to visit the outside seating on a cooler night. Only downside is that I still had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though I had reservations, not a deal breaker. Would definitely go back.

First impressions are everything and ROCKSALT did not disappoint. The crab-cakes were absolutely delicious, as well as the martini I ordered (Martini In The Garden). The food was served hot and everyone received their orders on time. Will be visiting again. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Great Atmosphere. Service and ambiance was perfect. Oysters were soooo good, only flaw I wish they offered a different variety of Oysters. Drinks were well made. Located was great. Definitely recommend if in Charlotte.

Love Rocksalt in Charlotte NC. They have a really nice space, both indoors and out. The service is really great too! I had the Caesar salad which wasn’t drenched in dressing- it was perfect and not heavy and I had the curry mussels. They were so good. My only negative is that they don’t have french fries but she gave me extra bread for the broth to dip it in. It was so good. I also had a really great extra dirty Tito‘s martini. Will definitely go back.

Dee, Leann(sp), the general manager along with the entire staff was wonderful. The only negative was the cheddar Bay biscuits as they were hard as hockey pucks, however it was removed from my bill and new biscuits were made, but sadly I never got to try the new batch. The mussels in the chipotle sauce was to die for! Great recommendation from Dee! It just needed ALOT of bread to soak up all that delicious broth. Oh and the spicy margarita? A thousand times yes!!! All in all, I'll be returning soon!

I’ll start off by saying … I mostly come here for happy hour and wine. The patio is a great spot for a nice unwind! The servers I’ve had are also all really friendly, a little slow but they make up for it with service most times. That being said, the oysters are amazing! I prefer the Rochambeau and the Olde Salts. I haven’t had any real desire to try any of their other dishes oddly since the above combination is a sweet spot for me but definitely will! Give it a go for happy hour, you won’t regret it!

We had an good experience at Rock Salt. The oysters, crab cake, scallops, whole snapper (great pesto) and wine were good. But our server Leo made the night! He was funny, attentive and made excellent recommendations on food. We did not like the ceviche but he anticipated this and before we ordered he informed us that it was not made in the traditional style. Although Charlotte has many other great options for food we would return just due to the wonderful service.

Literally the best meal I have ever had, We ordered the chef selection and paired drink combo and the meal far exceeded all expectations, making Rocksalt one of Charlotte's best kept secrets.

Delicious! Everyone was so nice! I always had something to drink, food was unbelievable. We devoured everything we ordered. Dessert was perfect. The staff in the kitchen and on the floor were very organized and worked well together. We sat close to the kitchen area and everything that was ready on the counter did not sit there, it was sent out immediately to its table. Well done Rocksalt and staff. I highly recommend!

The oysters were delicious and that's about it. The portions were small, service was extremely slow and more. I was ina party of 7 and arrived at 7pm for our reservations, waitress came right over and asked for our drinks and if we had any questions. Seems everything is good, however that's where it ended. The drinks took about 20 minutes to get, my wife asked for a Miller light and they brought a Miller high life. When asked for a Miller light they said they didn't have it. After another 20 mins we finally got our order taken. We all had the queen feast special except for one( who ordered two appetizers and asked for one to come out with everyones else appetizers and the other with the meals). We had also order corn bread for the table and that came out in about 10 minutes and along with the one appetizer for the person who was only eating appetizers. After another 20-30 minutes the rest of our appetizers came out. Once we finished the last appetizer that was supposed to come with the entrees came out. When we said this was supposed to come with the meals they just said this is the best we can do. After another 20-30 minutes the rest of our food came out. Now we have been at the table for at least and hour and half and multiple times we had empty glasses waiting to order more drinks. Not once did the waitress come over to ask about our meals and one of us found a price of plastic in their food. We informed the manager who quickly came over and got a new meal. Our waitress had no idea this at all happened. We had also brought a cake (for a birthday) in asked for it to be put in a freezer as it was an ice cream cake. When we had to remind the waitress about the cake we had to wait another 20 minutes for them to bring it out. Right away we could tell they didn't follow our request as the cake was beginning to melt. After now being at the restaurant for about 2 and half hours we had to chase our waitress down to get the Check. This was the point we had to tell the waitress about the plastic as they were still charging our friend his meal. (Typically you would think this would be taking off right away) They did remove it but waiting another 15 minutes to get the revised check we had to almost run out of the restaurant to make it to a sheduled event. Overall food was ok but the service was horrible.

LOVE this place! I've never had a bad bite & I've been here about 15-20 times. The Chef is constantly adding new creative menu items & the fresh fish selection changes daily. The service is always great also! Would definitely recommend to any seafood lover!

One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte area. $1 raw oysters, on the half shell, every weekday from 3 pm - 7 pm plus other great seafood and non seafood options. If you're there during the warmer months, try the watermelon salad - it's delicious. Great wine selection too. Can't wait to go back

Great fresh oysters for happy hour, awesome oyster chowder, soft she'll crab pork belly app was out of this world. Very well made/tasty Manhattan and our server was the best...must go too!

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The food, staff, and atmosphere are all amazing! I am 31 years old and didn't start eating oysters until about a year ago shortly after I discovered Rocksalt. They have always been patient and welcoming to me as a newcomer to the oyster world. If you live in Charlotte or are visiting, this is a must visit for fresh seafood. Great for visiting with friends, family, or for date night!

My family treated me to a birthday dinner. The service, ambiance and food were exceptional. Everyone loved the oysters and craft cocktails. Queen city’s best!

Great customer service. Great food. Great prices. The oysters were so good and fresh, u had the mussels also which were amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and helped a great deal with ordering. The prices were well below the quality. I will be returning soon

The oysters were great, the snapper was phenomenal, the service was great from our first time Chelsea was amazing we are so happy she was promoted, she is the reason we will continue to come back....deserts awe my gawd try them lol
