Great atmosphere and food. Loved the whipped ricotta and the mussels. Those were definitely worth coming here for. I actually came because I excited to try their Branzino, which is pictured on Google. I was a little disappointed that the only seafood entree on the menu when I arrived was salmon. It didn’t quite align with the other menu options. Farm raised salmon is one of the cheapest fish you can buy and is not justifiable at this price point no matter how you prepare it. I figured it would be worth trying either way. I was told it is prepared medium and it came out really over cooked. I wasn’t really impressed with it at all and wouldn’t order in the future. Hopefully they bring the Branzino back at some point. I’d definitely give this place another shot.

I took my family here for their first visit to Charlotte, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! Our server, Alex, was so personable, and he took care of everything we could’ve possibly needed and more! We truly felt that we were the only table in the restaurant. He was knowledgeable about the menu, gave phenomenal recommendations, and was extremely thoughtful. The chefs put together the most amazing appetizers, meals, and desserts… I cannot put into words how tasty everything was!! You cannot go wrong with any dish you choose, and be sure to get dessert (even if you are full)! Overall, wonderful service and truly delicious food!

I loved the ambiance. The food was good overall. The salmon was on point. The calamari and chicken milanese lacked seasoning. They were cooked well, but they needed salt, season-all, garlic powder, and/or black pepper. This was disappointing because it describes itself as Italian cuisine with a southern twist. But it lacked the typical southern finesse/flavors. The Gelato was ok. It doesn't come close to real Italian Gelato. However, that's pretty common in the U.S across the board. Service was great and food was good enough that I would return again.

Food was excellent (especially the whipped ricotta and funghi pizza), service was top notch (thanks, Dan!) and we really appreciated having great cocktails in the middle of a Pride evening. We'll definitely brave downtown to visit y'all again!

It was my first visit to this place. Started at the bar as we waited for our table. Great experience with bar staff. Then we sat down for dinner. The food was amazing, and the server was phenomenal! Great experience overall!

Pete at Angeline's is an absolute gem! His impeccable service and genuine hospitality made our dining experience truly exceptional. The ravioli was an absolute delight, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Pete's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. We highly recommend Angeline's, and make sure to ask for Pete!

We booked the private dining room for a bridal shower. It was absolutely perfect! The space was gorgeous! Brittany and Marielle were our servers for the event, and they were so amazing. I hope they know how wonderful they are! I would highly recommend anyone doing their event with Angelines!

It was our friend Deliana’s Birthday and he made sure to help us celebrate it with style. What truly set Alex apart was his attentiveness and genuine care. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, refilling glasses at just the right moment and checking in to ensure our satisfaction with each course. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we felt like we were Alex’s only table, a testament to his professionalism and skill. Alex’s passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction. He shared fascinating insights about the restaurant's history and even the origins of some dishes, which added a special touch to our dining experience. His enthusiasm was infectious, making our dinner not just a meal but a delightful experience. To top it off, Alex’s timing was impeccable. He was there when we needed him, yet allowed us enough space to enjoy our meal and conversation. His service was a seamless blend of efficiency, warmth, and expertise. In a city filled with dining options, Angelina’s stands out, and Alex is a shining star in their team. My husband and I came here for the first time on our wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere very stylish and comfortable, and our server Halit was very attentive. I recommend you try Angeline’s if you haven’t already.

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at Angeline’s and could not have been happier! The atmosphere was perfect for the location and occasion, the food was fantastic, and the service was phenomenal!!! In addition, considering the quality of the food and drinks and staff, the prices were on point. We could not have asked for more and would highly recommend Angeline’s!

The service at the bar on Thursday night, June 7, 2018 around 9:00 p.m., was slow, poor and the bartenders were quite frankly unwelcoming, rude, condescending and not knowledgeable about the wine list. When I asked for spilled food that had been left behind at my place at the bar to be cleaned up, it was cleaned begrudgingly and not thoroughly. When I asked a question about the wine list, I was dismissively and rudely told "it's whatever you see on the list". The bartenders were also dressed in a fashion that one would not expect for a so-called upscale restaurant, but more like what one might see at a biker convention. I've had a much better experience at the upstairs bar, Merchant and Trade. My significant other is a very senior state government official, and I have a large circle of influence in the community as well, and not only will we not be back, we will also pass along our experience to our peers, friends and family and colleagues. P.S. On top of it all, the menu is limited and just not that great.

My husband brought me here because their meat and cheeses plate made a top ten in Charlotte. It was good, but what made this place totally great was their wonderful attention to their service, their thoughtful host, bar, and wait staff, and the ambience is very classy and sophisticated. We will be going back.

I’ve been to Angeline’s twice.. first time was for restaraunt week.. thought it was absolutely horrible.. Not sure why restaurants go 1/2 ass during restaraunt week.. but after that I promised I wouldn’t go back there.. Well my friend wanted to go for her bday dinner and I swore up and down she wouldn’t like it..one of the best and memorable meals I’ve had in a very long time..Our waiter was great.. ambiance spectacular and of course my company of girls was amazing.. Highly recommend but not during restaraunt week..

I and 2 friends went to opening night with low expectations due to opening night jitters. To our surprise, we had one of the best meals we have had in Charlotte in a long time. The Risotto appetizer did not disappoint and the Branzino with Olive Tapenade were just a few of our favorite. The beverage director Joe and Chef Robert made time to thank us for coming in and Ron, our server, was top notch! We will definitely be back soon.

We just had the best brunch! This was our first time here and we will be back! Jacquline was our server-ask for her! Make sure you order the whipped ricotta appetizer and banana bread French toast. Love it!

Such an amazing addition to the Charlotte restaurant scene. Angeline’s brings a new level of dining to the market. Killer Italian food with great cocktails and a fantastic space.

I don’t usually write reviews for restaurants (cause food is food is food to me), but I just had to after our waitress Teneé! She was so great!! And the food was incredible. Thanks for an awesome anniversary date! We will be back for sure. �

Brand new with an Italian flare...Bronzino was outstanding! Great service and the noise level was low. The wine selection was perfect as well.
