My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at Angeline’s and could not have been happier! The atmosphere was perfect for the location and occasion, the food was fantastic, and the service was phenomenal!!! In addition, considering the quality of the food and drinks and staff, the prices were on point. We could not have asked for more and would highly recommend Angeline’s!
My husband brought me here because their meat and cheeses plate made a top ten in Charlotte. It was good, but what made this place totally great was their wonderful attention to their service, their thoughtful host, bar, and wait staff, and the ambience is very classy and sophisticated. We will be going back.
Great atmosphere and food. Loved the whipped ricotta and the mussels. Those were definitely worth coming here for. I actually came because I excited to try their Branzino, which is pictured on Google. I was a little disappointed that the only seafood entree on the menu when I arrived was salmon. It didn’t quite align with the other menu options. Farm raised salmon is one of the cheapest fish you can buy and is not justifiable at this price point no matter how you prepare it. I figured it would be worth trying either way. I was told it is prepared medium and it came out really over cooked. I wasn’t really impressed with it at all and wouldn’t order in the future. Hopefully they bring the Branzino back at some point. I’d definitely give this place another shot.
I took my family here for their first visit to Charlotte, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! Our server, Alex, was so personable, and he took care of everything we could’ve possibly needed and more! We truly felt that we were the only table in the restaurant. He was knowledgeable about the menu, gave phenomenal recommendations, and was extremely thoughtful. The chefs put together the most amazing appetizers, meals, and desserts… I cannot put into words how tasty everything was!! You cannot go wrong with any dish you choose, and be sure to get dessert (even if you are full)! Overall, wonderful service and truly delicious food!
I loved the ambiance. The food was good overall. The salmon was on point. The calamari and chicken milanese lacked seasoning. They were cooked well, but they needed salt, season-all, garlic powder, and/or black pepper. This was disappointing because it describes itself as Italian cuisine with a southern twist. But it lacked the typical southern finesse/flavors. The Gelato was ok. It doesn't come close to real Italian Gelato. However, that's pretty common in the U.S across the board. Service was great and food was good enough that I would return again.
Food was excellent (especially the whipped ricotta and funghi pizza), service was top notch (thanks, Dan!) and we really appreciated having great cocktails in the middle of a Pride evening. We'll definitely brave downtown to visit y'all again!
It was my first visit to this place. Started at the bar as we waited for our table. Great experience with bar staff. Then we sat down for dinner. The food was amazing, and the server was phenomenal! Great experience overall!
Pete at Angeline's is an absolute gem! His impeccable service and genuine hospitality made our dining experience truly exceptional. The ravioli was an absolute delight, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Pete's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. We highly recommend Angeline's, and make sure to ask for Pete!
We booked the private dining room for a bridal shower. It was absolutely perfect! The space was gorgeous! Brittany and Marielle were our servers for the event, and they were so amazing. I hope they know how wonderful they are! I would highly recommend anyone doing their event with Angelines!
Prime rib was superb. Eggplant was delicious. Cocktails spot on. Service exceptional. Thank you Alex.
