Comfortable place, creative menu and the service is on point...... Great bartenders, Monica is fantastic !!
This is an elegant very sexy vibe place. Perfect for a dinner date for two or a girls night out. My favorite is the King Crab it is delicious. This is an upscale take on Japanese food with modern twist. I recommend for anyone!
This place was amazing to say the least. First off, the ambiance was awesome and decorations were so good. The food my wife and I ordered were a treat too. Our waitress, Jordan, was probably one of the best servers I've had in a long time. She was really knowledgeable and even recommended some of the Chef's specials they had going for the evening. She was very attentive and thorough with us and we even tried one of her favorites that she personally loved to eat. The sushi was absolutely delicious. And to top things off, the cinnamon beignets at the end of the night were definitely a winner. Thank you so much for making my wife and I's 2nd year wedding anniversary so special. We will certainly be back! Cheers!

This was my first time at this restaurant. I love sushi and we got the sushi platter plus a few appetizers. It was pretty good. I'll have to admit and I feel like it's probably the best sushi place in Charlotte. The fish was fresh and it wasn't overpowered with sauces like some of the other places that you will find here. The two rolls that came with the platter were definitely unique and well balanced. I don't even know if I use very much soy sauce actually. I would highly recommend this place if you love sushi.
Repeat customer, the ebi shumai is to die for. Had my anniversary dinner here, the fresh fish selection is excellent and the wagyu is delicious. Drinks were good aswell, will be back :)
Upon entering this establishment you get a bursts of aromatic flavors in your nostrils. So you know the food is going to be great. Coming from a Caribbean background this was the best tasting sushi I’ve ever eaten. Although I can’t remember the names of everything I ate, here are some pics. Our waitress with the beautiful nails was extremely pleasant and the ambiance was sophisticated and chic.
Food is so delicious. I had a Lychee
Martini one of my most favorite drinks and it was a bit too sour, not well balanced. However the food and the ambiance was great. Yellowtail roll was extraordinary.
What is great is that the place is well decorated and has an awesome vibe about it. The staff is friendly. Upstairs is sort of a lounge and it has a bar. Definitely give it a go.
Baku was an absolute delight. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance as they do fill up! This traditional Japanese steak house has it all from incredibly prepared waygu to an assortment of phenomenal fresh Shashimi and sushi options. We came in to celebrate some family in town and were warmly received and promptly sat. We were offered both digital and physical menus and started off with a number of appetizers to share.
I was particularly impressed with the time from order to food delivery and the quality of food was superb. This restaurant trends towards the pricier side but it is well earned in the gastronomical experience.
Would highly recommend and would return. See photos for palate recommendations.
Delicious food and great service. Brie made sure to walk us through the specials of the evening and provided excellent recommendations. We will definitely be back!
Hands down Baku was the best sushi experience we've ever had. Anna took excellent care of us and her recommendations were simply top notch. We can't wait to come back!
Really fantastic Japanese restaurant. The sushi was the star of the meal but the cocktails and fire cooked meat were also excellent. Recommend the salmon belly nigiri. So excellent. Our waitress was great as well.
Had such a lovely date night here. The upstairs lounge area was so comfy and intimate . Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. The wagyu was a little too rare for me, neither of us have had it before and wanted to try it but we prefer our steak more medium in which the server pretty much said that was frowned up, so we asked for medium rare which it appeared rare in which I wouldn’t eat it. So for $120 a meal o couldn’t eat was a little off putting bit aside from the steak everything was delicious!
