You will not find a better place to grab a burger. I have eaten at Brooks Sandwich house for over 20+ years and the quality is 5 star as well as the staff!
If it's breakfast, try a link and egg all the way. If lunch, it's a cheeseburger all the way. The chili is amazing. The people are great. The only place to eat are some stand up tables under a shelter outside but I did see a couple of families tailgating with their kids. If you haven't tried this place, you are missing a great experience!

Went there today for the first time with my husband. I got the All The Way Cheeseburger and fries husband got the cheeseburger and fries. EXCELLENT. The chili on the burger was amazing and the crust on the burger was great and the burger was juicy. Will have to try the All The Way Hordog next. This could get addicting 😂

A charlotte institution. The chili is great, and i normally am not a fan of chili on burgers. Also their breakfast. I should rate it 4 stars for not being open on weekends but if i ran a business I'd do the same thing
The Brothers Brooks are one of a kind and EVERYTHING about their Sandwhich House is perfect! Nothing better than to have one all the way with FF and sweet tea. YUM!

The best Burger in Charlotte and possibly the world
I've been enjoying Brooks' sandwiches for over 30 years. You just can't get food this good many other places.
Food was absolutely amazing. Patient staff with great customer service. Will definitely be a regular there.
I'm not really a burger connoisseur but I had to try this place because I've heard so much about it. It's billed as one of the best burger joints in Charlotte, a long standing establishment. It's take out only and you can either sit in your car and eat or stand under one of their shelters to eat. It's a no frills joints, all about the burger. I got the double bacon burger. It was good. I enjoyed the experience.

Enjoyed my first visit to this iconic sandwich shop. The Double bacon cheeseburger was incredible!! Great food, good service. Worth the 15 minute wait. They were out of their classic chili. Will be back again for sure!!

This is one of Charlotte's finest lunch spots with a rich history. I gave a 5 star rating on atmosphere, but I suppose that depends on the weather. There is an outdoor eating area. Nice place with solid folks! AWESOME FOOD.

Great place. I love the simplicity. There’s no inside area (except for a line to order food) and you either sit at picnic tables or in your car to eat. So many people come here during lunch so make sure you arrive around 11 am otherwise there will be a line. It’s basic food and a reasonable price (considering it’s right in NoDa) and has been there 50+ years. I hope it never goes away. Keep in mind that ordering ahead is ineffective. They won’t cook it until you get there. They also don’t accept calls ins past 2 pm. MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT THEY ARE CASH ONLY. Don’t pay that ATM fee unless it’s more convenient for you to.

Honestly one of the BEST BURGERS and fries we have ever tried!?! I'm talking worldwide the best!! This sandwich house is DELICIOUS! 😋 Definitely a must-try if you are in/around the area! The chili nachos are also a hit! I highly recommend! 🍔✨
This has been on my list for so long now. It's a challenge to get there though since they are only open during the week for lunch. We had off on Good Friday, so I took the opportunity to go.
It's cash only, but they have an atm inside if you don't come with cash. There's no seating inside and a couple of picnic tables outside. This is really a no frills hole in the wall place which I love.
We got their burger with cheese all the way (chili, onions, and mustard) which is what they're known for. We also tried a hot dog all the way and chili cheese fries. The burger was definitely my favorite. The hot dog was good, but you just can't top the burger. The fries were really good, the cheese was crispy and delicious.
This is definitely a must try in Charlotte. If I worked in the area, this would be a frequent lunch destination.
Very good! I decided to try this while I can. I got a loaded double cheeseburger for $10.60. It’s not cheap, but worth it. Fast & good customer service.

Here’s the good news: it’s a killer cheeseburger on a soft bun that holds up, and fried potato wedges that are salted properly!!! Standing at a picnic table under a tree on a sunny day having lunch IS AWESOME!!! The experience is worth it.
Now, I got a cheeseburger “with the works,” and honestly, it was okay. I expect enough chili sauce on my burger to drip down my arm at least a little bit. I expected it to be loaded with enough chili to taste it and even need an extra napkin.
But that’s not this place. So I went with the wrong expectations, and for that I don’t want to take away from my review.
Best burgers in town. Plays with my food emotions to know this place will be closing without future plans as of yet. If you haven't tried this place highly recommend before you can't.
I went to Brooks sandwich house for the first time yesterday (7/27/22) for lunch with a work colleague. He saw that they recently were voted based burger in North Carolina so wanted to go. It's a nice little grab and go spot with pretty cheap burgers and sides, they have wooden tables outside you can stand at to eat. I ordered a cheeseburger with chili, onions and mustard and a side of onion rings. Unfortunately, they got my order wrong and gave me 2 cheeseburgers that had all the toppings EXCEPT chili, which was the one thing I really wanted on the burger. The burger tasted good (Not the best I've had in North Carolina). My favorite part of the meal was the onion rings, they were very crispy and light. Overall there are better burgers in Charlotte but if you're looking for a no frills place to grab a quick burger, this is a good spot.
The burgers are great!! Made to order and very friendly customer service. The sides items is also tasty. Waited for about 5 minutes from order to finish, in which I ordered three burgers. Don't be fooled by the pictures, if it's your first time, go with a single burger. The double burgers cam be alot of burger to eat, especially if you get bacon add on. Really important to know, they only take cash. It is an ATM outside, but it will be a 2.50 surcharge. Overall, it's well worth the buy.
Love a dive spot and this sure is one. Very friendly, young workers. Wedge fries were good. The oil could have been hotter as they were a bit soggy. They'd have been awesome if they were a bit more crispy.
The burger had a good taste. I didn't go all the way as I don't care for chili on my burger. I don't know if I'd call it the best burger in Charlotte but I'm glad I tried it. It's what I call a southern burger - skinny Patty. The patty alone has a great taste.
The building is dirty and everything including the ketchup packets are greasy (like most dives, so I didn't let it bother me)
Overall, I'd go back but won't go out of my way to get there. Worth a visit for sure. I also think it may have been more fun on a sunny day. They have outside eating.
This place has one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Definitely in the Top 5. I got the Double Cheeseburger with bacon and “everything” with an order of Chili Cheese Fries. This was incredibly affordable and very tasty. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Charlotte!
