Came here with our 3 boys while passing through Charlotte. Everything looked really good. It is cafeteria style. I got the catfish, collard greens and Mac and Cheese and cornbread. Our oldest ordered meatloaf/Mac and cheese and stuffing. My middle son ordered the ribs, youngest had fried chicken/ black eyed peas. Everything was great and everyone was friendly.
We saw their I-77 sign heading back to SC. Wonderful variety of true soul food to choose from. We split a large plate of the daily special Bourbon Chicken, fried Pork Chop, corn muffin, collards, and Mac & Cheese. Holy cow, some of the best M&C that I've had in recent memory. So creamy and cheesy! Sweet tea and Cheerwine to wash it down. The staff is awesome. You have to give this place a try. Next time in town, fried chicken and ribs...
The best soul food! Everything was so good. The service was wonderful. We tried so many different entrees and sides and sat outside on the beautiful patio. It was better than Thanksgiving!
Definitely an eatery to have on your "spot to stop" list in Charlotte, NC. Courteous staff, variety of well prepared flavors, extra clean with sufficient seating. Someone has studied Jerkish...the wings are slamming!! Fried chicken wings are at the top of the chicken charts. An impressive family owned eatery with multiple locations and seemingly a family we should mark as an example for many in our day...that's the absolute truth!!
Nice spot some staff courteous, one particular staff was rude and having a bad day and should not have been working up front! But the candied yams, ribs, jerk chicken, and collard greens was so good! Like my mama was back there cooking. Will definitely return again.
Well well well!! What more can I say 🤤 So glad we found NaNa’s this evening, after shopping at the outlet, my husband & I wanted some Soul Food and we got food for the soul at NaNa’s ❤️ The servers were friendly with smiles ready to serve, The food area was clean 😘 I had smothered pork chops white rice, collard greens & potatoe salad, My husband had smothered chicken collard greens, baked macaroni & cheese with yams on the side, the portions were more then enough. Shoutout to our cashier 👑 Don’t change, thanks for the laugh 😂
Food is good. Line was long but they moved it along fast. Sort of lunch line style at a buffet. The chicken was good as well as the sides. Not a fan of the sweet potato pie though. The inside isn’t going to blow your mind either. If you’re looking for good soul food then you can find it here. Staff are friendly. Even with a long line we didn’t have to wait too long. Plate prices were reasonable as well for the amount of food. Try it out.
I wasn’t a fan of the fried chicken however the sides were immaculate. the mac and cheese is too good!!! I only wished that they gave you warm cornbread and warm peach cobbler and this place is on the pricier side. Besides that, for the most part everything was pretty good. The staff was awesome and I enjoyed dining in! I recommend the catfish, smothered porch chop, bbq rib, MAC AND CHEESE, yams.
Good food selection. They stay pretty steady. Food was good. Convenience fee (tip) is included with your food purchase which seems to be fair.
Loved the cabbage and the Mac and cheese, The slaw was to die for as was the potato salad 🙏 Pork chops were cooked hot and now and delicious. The pre-cooked fried chicken though was lacking. Very tiny drumstick and thigh two bites each at these prices you would assume you'd get your fill. But overall great experience will be back..
