Really great food & service. Excellent customer service. If you like beef ribs, they only have about 10 of them available on Sunday's and they go pretty quickly. Banana pudding is served cold and was good. Everything is served in large portions.
Midwood Smokehouse was pretty mid. I went on a recommendation but found it to be underwhelming.
Our margaritas and old fashioneds were a little too sweet for the price range. All sides were pretty standard: Mac and cheese, hush puppies, collards, and some flash pickles. Unfortunately nothing stuck out. The pulled pork was dry and kind of bland, definitely needed more sauce saving. I'm glad we opted to add a jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage, that ended being the highlight of our meal.
Nothing to seek out by any means but probably decent BBQ for happy hour or in a pinch.
The food was absolutely amazing! The cornbread was delicious.. best-selling! The pig out combo was awesome, for dessert, enjoy the pecan cobbler...so good! The service was outstanding. Ellen was nice and provided excellent recommendations. A place must visit if you are in Charlotte, NC
Couldn’t be happier with our entire experience, first of all, our server was the nicest most friendliest person we’ve ever met at a restaurant, I believe her name was Valerie, she walked us through the whole menu, we decided on the Carolina pulled pork plate and a cheesesteak sandwich. Both were so phenomenal. The BBQ sauce was to Die for, this is a must have when visiting the Charolette area definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved it!! A perfect stop if you’re looking for barbecue while staying in Charlotte!! Saw in the reviews that the burnt ends were good- they definitely lived up to it!!! Melt in your mouth! Got the Carolina pork myself and it was moist- so flavorful and good. My favorite thing was the quality of the sides - they tasted fresh! (I hate when you can tell the sides at a bbq place have been sitting out all day). The cornbread was INCREDIBLE. Idk what made it taste so good. Only qualm was the restaurant was really dark and packed a bit tightly. Some screaming kids close by. Otherwise great experience. Good for people passing through!
Great BBQ spot for lunch, Dinner, or to grab drinks.
The Pulled Pork sando with the spicy BBQ sauce was really good. The meat was smokey and well seasoned.
The hushpuppies were really good and don't sleep on the baked beans.
The atmosphere was chill and service was great as well.
Absolutely some of the most excellent customer service and BBQ I've ever had! The local beer was great, too. The wait staff went above and beyond and were incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere was nice as well.
My wife and I shared the sampler.
We love bbq and have eaten a good bit of it.
Midwood is some of the best we have ever had.
Ribs as good as any I’ve had in Memphis.
5 star brisket. Both the sliced and the burnt ends.
The mustard chicken was a surprise that really delighted me. Most places don’t make chicken that is worth mentioning. Not so here.
The pulled pork was the best I’ve ever had, and I have had a lot.
The collards were amazing as were the hush puppies.
Mike (I think he was the manager) waited on us and was super nice.
Thanks for making our visit special.
We're from out of town and decided to try some true Southern bbq. And we were not disappointed!
Such great food!!! We had tacos, brisket and banana pudding. Everything was very delicious.
Ashley was our server. She was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and very fun to talk with.
I definitely recommend this place!
Had the burnt ends - amazing. Ordered the small... if I ordered the large I would have eaten it all. My wife had vinegar BBQ chicken.. she added regular BBQ sauce to it for more flavor. Our son had a brisket sandwich. He loved it. Sweet potato fries were great.
