What a great cozy little spot to come and have delicious seafood. A friend of ours from Rochester, NY insisted we stop by here to eat. I'm glad we took his advice.
New owners took over this place in late 2020, and from everything we hear it has been nothing but positive changes. Thankfully the famous Superbowl Chowder is still on the menu and tastes better than ever.
When you enter the resturant you are given a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. This cozy setting decorated with sea shore motif sets the stage for a great dining experience.
Friendly service. They were a bit understaffed (common challenge everywhere these days), but they worked very hard to get everyone seated and served as quickly as possible. Anina, our server, was the best, and she has a knack for making you feel very special.
The parking lot in front is small, but there is designated parking across the street which I didn't see until we were leaving.
I don't know when we will be back in these parts, but you can bet I will make it a point to stop here again if I'm passing through.
Fish and chips were very good along with their clam chowder bread bowl and calamari. The bread pudding is also delicious.
Best burger in the Bay Area for sure. Love this place. Servers are all friendly and skilled even when it’s packed in there. Beautiful patio area - such a gem!

We were able to sit in the beautiful sunshine on the deck and enjoy some awesome fish and chips. Some of the best we've eaten. When leaving the who cook staff echoed a "ThankYou" which was awesome.
Delicious food, really very good service, and outdoor dining on the river. What more could anyone ask? Oh - and they let me bring my dog around to share the experience!
Love the seafood fettuccine it is always good. Started my meal off with steamer clams and garlic bread for that great sauce. Let's not forget the 7 layer chocolate cake slice, not to sweet goes great with coffee.
Food was excellent our server Becky was wonderful, we just happened to stumble across this restaurant will definitely come back. The one drawback is the first bathrooms toilet is a lot on the low side it's made for little/shorter people.
AMAZING food, friendly and attentive waitstaff, and a gorgeous environment and view. Seriously, the fish and chips and clam chowder are to die for! And the back patio has all sorts of lawn games to play overlooking the river while you wait for your food or after. Best perk of all though, they allow dogs on the back patio! Just make sure to walk them around the side and not through the restaurant.
We ordered clam chowder, salad, and shrimp tacos. Everything tastes so good! The view is also great.
The food and service was excellent. I ordered the special and it was marvelous. We had just traveled to the area and where there to see Shore Acres State Park Christmas lights
The waitress told us all about it, how to get there, best time to go, and that it was worth our drive from Salem. She was correct in all her information. She also told us the shortcut to Brookings. High Tide Cafe is a very nice place, with great people, and excellent food. I recommend this place.
