Cute hole in the wall. We had great service. Arrived 1 hour before closing. My wife had a chef salad with chicken on top it was ok. I had chili cheese fries they were ok. The piece of Mahi-Mahi however may have been the best I have ever tasted. It was thick and seasoned to perfection. They are well know for desserts. We had a piece of blueberry / lemon pie and a piece of Strawberry cake. Both were great. Recommend for lunch or simple dinner. Reminded me of a small diner atmosphere.

If country cookery is your thing, this is your place! Simply decorated and inviting. It’s a bit off of the main road so let your GPS guide you.

Hubby had fried pork chops, fried zucchini and squash, butter beans and corn bread. Based on his clean plate and the way he was gnawing those bones, I’d say he really enjoyed his meal!

I had country fried steak with brown gravy, fried zucchini and squash, butter beans and hush puppies. The steak was crispy tender and the brown gravy was silky and delicious. The zucchini and squash was lightly breaded and wonderfully seasoned. Loved the butter beans and the broth they were served in. The hush puppies were crispy, light, moist and fantastic. The whole meal soothed my southern soul!

Down home cooking, off the beaten path, great food. Charles and Laura are great people that care about the service and food you get. Recommend to go there when you want to enjoy a nice home cooked meal!

The inside is nothing to get excited about either, but its fitting for a "diner" type setting. But let's be honest, we didn't come here expecting anything but good, southern cooking. We were greeted by a very friendly staff who's mission was to make sure you were on the receiving end of a delicious meal.  There were so many things I wanted to try. I ended up going with the seafood platter, with fried fish and a crab cake. I knew it was going to be a lot of food so I skipped the shrimp, which could be added on. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked- it wasn't greasy at all. The crab cake was perfect. It was exactly what I was wanting and was served with a remoulade sauce, that had quite the kick to it. It was delicious and really hit the spot.

Started eating my fish then realized I should’ve taken a picture. The food was very good. I’d definitely come back if we visit the Charleston area again. The owner was also hospitable and welcoming which is always nice.

Too a chance and ate at this spot last night with the family. We wanted something new but yet country cooking. Looked this place up and checked out the menu and I knew this was gonna be just fine for us. The chicken tenders the kids had were hand battered and the wife's fried green tomato appetizers were amazing she said. I ended up getting the Fat Boy Burger and it was definitely tasty. The sweet tea was also excellent and I only drink it when I go out to restaurants so it's nice to have good sweet tea sometimes. I'll definitely head back to try different things off thr menu. Definitely worth checking out if ya want a good meal and not have to worry about a long wait to get a table. They have been in business now for 9 years and I thought to myself I wish I'd found this place sooner.

This place is small drabby, very low ceilings. Completely country , but the shrimp and grits are outrageously delicious. They make a nice sweet tea and the lemonade is pretty d*** good.. The service was excellent and the people are very friendly but they only serve (I don't eat) pork meet.

If you want Southern hospitality and Down South comfort food with that homely atmosphere, then make this one of your restaurant choices to experience these! They have a variety of southern dishes and seafood options. I had some of the Best fried scallops here that would out do any of the upscale fancy modern cuisine restaurants in the city. This place is a hidden gem in West Ashley and I'm glad I came to enjoy it. I will definitely return.

Great family owned business with awesome food. Will make you think your grandma is in the kitchen cooking! Not listed were lima beans and grilled asparagus 🤤. Choice of barbecue sauces. Good with or without sauce. Homemade cakes for dessert. It's definitely a must place to try!

Got here a little late for Sunday brunch and got to watch items disappear from the menu one by one while we were there. Lesson learned. Porkchops were excellent. Wife's crab cake was mediocre. Fried shrimp was great. I believe they were short staffed, so service was a little off. We'll try this place again, though.

An awesome little place. Friendly and attentive staff. The mason jar was always filled. Lots of sauce choices. The crab cakes were some best with perfectly seasoned remoulade sauce. And we are from south Louisiana. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly done. We highly recommend you try this gem of a restaurant. And look at the cute salt and pepper shakers at the checkout.

My wife and I were so happy we found this place on our way to Magnolia Plantation. And it wasn't easy to find...our GPS couldn't even pinpoint it! (It's somewhat hidden off the road in a plaza.) Anyway, it's a local "down home" diner with lots of excellent, homemade options and a friendly, welcoming staff. We both got the pulled pork sandwich and finished off with a slice of the coconut cake. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!
