Review Le Farfalle - Charleston

First time visiting Le Farfalle and I was very pleased with my visit! Jamison was an awesome host! He made excellent cocktails and he was very attentive to everyone at the bar! He made some great recommendations. The food was fresh and had such wonderful flavors! I honestly think you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Holy cow! This food was exceptional. Make sure you get a reservation because they are very popular and I now know why! Luckily my friend and I grabbed a bar seat and were just as happy. I got the squid ink pasta which didn't dissapoint. Whipped ricotta for an app and several different drinks off of the cocktail menu, which were exquisite! I may make a trip to Charleston just to come back here. Bravo guys!

Delicious food and drinks, great atmosphere and service. Nice night to sit outside which was super cute and loved the music. There were six of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Focaccia with whipped ricotta is a must!

We had an 8:30pm reservation for my mom’s birthday and they had left a card for her on the table when we got there. We got the focaccia, meatballs, and braised artichokes for our appetizers which were amazing. For our main course we got the chicken parm and fideos which were equally if not more amazing. You could definitely tell everything from the pasta to the sauces were prepared to the highest quality. The Maître d' checked in on us several times and made great recommendations on cocktails and food as well. While this was our first time here we will definitely be coming back soon!

We went here for our anniversary and were impressed by most of the food. We started with the focaccia bread which came with olive oil, red sauce and a cheese spread, very good start. We also got a Caesar salad, spot on. I got the Fideos pasta (Angel Hair pasta, blue crab) which was very tasty and has lots of crab! I really enjoyed the read crumbs mixed in for texture. My wife got the bucatini Al Norma, which she loved. We ended with the tarimisu panna cotta, which we did not enjoy at all. If just felt like a big mouthful of marscapone with a some espresso dust and Reid out lady fingers on top. The dessert bummed us out but the service and food were great.

Great food and atmosphere! If you are in the mood for some great tasting Italian food then you have to try this place! Walked in and was able to be seated. Seating went from casual outside to very private booths. Food was great and fairly priced for the pasta dishes!

Beautiful restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. The pasta was made in house and the best I’ve had in a long time! Only recommendation I have is making a reservation ahead. We tried calling earlier that day and it was all booked. They take walk ins. We waiting for about 30 minutes and never got a text. When we went in to check they tried to seat us in the corner of full bar there was multiple open tables outside which they sat us at after we requested. Would have avoided if we reserved earlier.

I had the squid ink spaghetti and my husband had the duck confit ravioli. Both were so delicious! The service and environment was perfect for a date night.

The food and service were wonderful. It's worth every penny. The lamb was the best I have ever had. Steak was wonderfully cooked, too.

Best Italian food I’ve had in a long time.. the focaccia bread is made at home, so delicious and worth it.. The caico de Pepe was amazing delicious as were the cocktails.. I was apprehensive in booking our reservation so close to closing time (9:45). Generally they often rush you to place your order or more often then not they don’t have the food that you want.. But this place didn’t rush us, we’re constantly checking on us.. Defn recommended

I had heard of this place previously, and all good stuff, so when our wine bar had a member dinner here we were excited to try it! It did not disappoint. We were fortunate in the way the dinner was run we did family style and were able to try a great deal of the menu! For starters we had the polpette alla siciliana (so light and delicious), the Caesar salad (kind of meh), prosciutto DI parma (this was also kind of meh, but interesting with the deconstructed melon), and the focaccia bread (definitely try it with the whipped ricotta) this was my favorite! For mains we all loved the Rigatoni Verde, Linguine with marscapone and confit garlic which was delicious and very rich, the fried chicken piccata was another huge hit with our group, the fish of the day which was snapper was also delicious and very well done! We had sides of broccoli rabe which I did not try, and the eggplant parmigiana which I definitely could have made a meal of all on its own! The Robiola Bosina was a rich cheese dessert and it was perfect! We also loved the interesting take on tiramisu- it was sorbetto and gelato and it was amazing! The whipped cheesecake banana pudding thing was interesting and more like pudding than a cheesecake, but still worth trying if you like banana pudding. And the chocolate coconut cake was hands down my favorite! Service was wonderful and staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to go back! Definite downtown gem.

Loved the restaurant, the atmosphere, & the staff. Also loved the Riesling wine choice, a nice, sweet, & smooth white wine. A new favorite for me! Really enjoyed the focaccia bread & polpette pork meatballs. We were kind of on the fence with gnudi as they didn’t seem to be sautéed after boiling them. The Wagyu steak and puréed potatoes were awesome. Very disappointed with the fried chicken piccata...didn’t even think it would literally be two pieces of fried chicken with capers pour over them (sadly, I thought Paula Dean with capers). I had to send it back and instead got a Caesar salad and was again disappointed. It’s so hard to eat out because my husband is a chef and yes, I am picky but like to try other dishes. Just a tip for future guests - ask about he dishes because the menu is not descriptive; the menu simply lists some of the ingredients.

They might be the new kid on the block but already this is one of Charleston's best restaurants! Word is getting out...,I have eaten here at least 10 times and have never been disappointed in both the food and service. Brunch, lunch and dinner are equally wonderful... the best octopus carpaccio I've ever had along with mouthwatering handmade pastas you won't feel guilty indulging in. Nothing here is typical or average, the beauty of simple and fresh ingredients in the hands of a real master chef! The airy atmosphere and location are great, not stuffy or pretentious, but a great neighborhood gem. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area.

Their brunch was absolutely fantastic. The chicken and waffles were some of the best I've had. I highly recommend it!

Apps were great starting with possibly the best focaccia we have ever had. It came with to-die-for whipped ricotta, tomato sugo and a nice olive oil. We also had the octopus carpaccio...sooo good. Entries were also great. Service provided with a smile. We will be back!
