Leon's Fine Poultry & Oysters - Charleston - Photo album

Raw bar selections were great, I tried all available oysters. They were all fresh and delicious. Also ordered the scalloped potatoes and cucumber salad, scalloped potatoes were awesome! The cucumbers were good, but nothing special. I’ve heard they have the best fried chicken, but unfortunately this
Awesome spot in Charleston with incredible fried chicken, the oysters were equally tasty although was too hungry to take pics. Friendly chill staff and lively atmosphere. It was my second time here and I’m already looking forward to three and four! Kudos
Leon’s was AMAZING! The food and service was so good! It was a perfect chill place to have grilled oysters and some cocktails! Definitely get the grilled oyster! They were delicious! I am so sad I was just visiting Charleston or else I would make this my regular place to go. Can’t wait for my next v
Great atmosphere and service. Fried chicken has a delicious crispy crunch (one of the best I've ever had) but admittedly could have used a bit more seasoning but the hot honey and hot sauce helps. The char-grilled oysters are every bit worth the "famous" monicker. A def Charleston must!
Busy neighborhood spot. I tried the crispy clam wrap. It was fresh and crispy. I also had the grilled oysters this place is known for. The oysters were a bit small but tasted very good. My schrimp sandwich was also good. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and had a slight spice to it. Overall, i
First time visit today for a late lunch. It was 2 pm on a Thursday and the place was very busy which is always a good sign. Food was excellent. My wife had the fried clams strips and I had the fried catfish sandwich. Coleslaw side was a great choice. I had the soft-serve vanilla ice cream 🍦 for dess
If you haven’t been here yet- y’all are missing some of the best food in Charleston- seafood is fantastic and they have Bird Island Oysters on the menu- wild grown oysters that taste of the sea and are the best I’ve had in Charleston(see picture), I can’t resist the sand which, fried chicken on a bu
I think this was my fav meal this visit to Charleston. Everything I ate and drank was so delicious. The wedge salad paired with the fried chicken was a great combo. Awesome hush puppies. Frozen gin and tonic and coconut daiquiri were winners.
First time here. We got seated right away, even though they looked very busy. Great service and yummy food. We did get the grilled chicken and grilled fish. Both were great and tasteful. Loved the cucumber salad. Only minor negative was that It was just very crowded and loud, so it was hard to hear
Upon arrival into Charleston we came here. No reservation but only wait 20 minutes and were able to sit at the patio with big fans. Old gas station converted into a restaurant, very cool, gave me New Orleans vibes. Server we had was great, very helpful. We got the seafood platter, fried oysters,
Such a great experience and great food! We sat on the outdoor patio and were greeted right away. I had my dog with me and there was a water bowl by the table for her. Our waitress Casey was the best! I got the garden cooler which so refreshing and delicious. The hush puppies were very good and the h
I was travelling to Charleston and accidentally stumbled on Leon’s, I walked past and saw it was bumping with locals! Knowing I had to visit before I left I got the opportunity to go alone for a late lunch. I sat at the bar, got a non alcohol beer that was delicious and tried oysters and a salad. T
Gave it a shot after being pretty disappointed with the food everyone kept suggesting in the area. Started with a Bloody Mary which was very good. Moved on to the raw oysters and the grilled oysters they were known for. Pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. Based on that, we had to try the fried ch
Awesome time at Leon’s. Fried chicken sandwich was delicious and my wife loved the wood grilled oysters. Pimm’s Cup was also great! And great service, as well. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Charleston.
Great late lunch! First time at Leon’s! Our server Ruth S. suggested we try different kinds of raw oysters. So we tried their house oysters and the half moon oysters. All were great! We also loved the fried chicken (super crispy on outside and moist on inside), hush puppies with honey butter, scallo
Such an awesome spot made from an old garage. The oysters on the half shell were so fresh, cold and delicious. Great cocktails, friendly service. A must try in Charleston! Also, grab the smoked mahi dip!
Stopped her after a local’s recommendation. Loved the vibe, food, and service. I was able to walk in and eat at the bar. If a larger party, you would need a reservation. Delish!
Fun environment, great food. A solid choice when you are in Charleston. Good unsweet tea requires clean equipment and theirs was super. Great clam strips and a tasty strawberry shake
Leon's is a great Charleston staple. Everything we've tried on their menu has been consistently fresh and delicious. I had the Chicken Sandwich which was perfectly fried with slaw and pickles. The Slaw was topped with raisins and pepitas which elevated it into something special. We also had fried oy
