This was an omg sandwich. We honestly picked the restaurant because we wanted something quick and affordable. Joked it was a hold in the wall in the parking lot. It was truly the best chicken sandwich my husband (buffalo) and myself (boxcar) had ever had.

Very delicious crispy chicken sandwich. Think Chik-fil-a but different, better in some ways. Both the sweet potato fries and regular fries were yummy too.

Good food for the price. The portion sizes were okay. Chicken breading has a little kick to it so beware.
This location had a small parking lot, not a lot of seating. The ac was in but did not cool the back seating area. We got here after lunch rush so needed some love in the dining room area. Busy time we left it was all straightened up. Great option if you need a chicken fix.

The new best chicken sandwich ever! We got a boxcar and a buffalo and split them. I liked the boxcar better, my husband liked the buffalo better (which is backwards for us). We also got an order of the fried green tomatoes and these are also the best I've ever had! They taste almost more like a pickle since they are pickled tomatoes! We also got a couple macaroons, the red velvet and the s'mores, clearly the Red Velvet was the winner here.
Parking can be a challenge, not they do have it.

My brother took us to Boxcar Betty's.... first time there the food was Delicious and the service was great! Whenever you are in Charleston SC... Please check out this joint... Cozy, clean and a beautiful atmosphere for the family.

Solid 4 star restaurant would go back again if in the area. They have macaroons that didn't fit the theme, in my opinion. I wish they had some other options, but they were good. The smash burgers were delicious. They also had a kids meal. Fried pickles were great as well french fries and sweet potato fries were a bit of a disappointment.

Really good chicken sandwich. I got the Buffalo and it was not too spicy but very flavorful. The chicken is moist and the batter is crispy. Fries were a bit cold but tasty. There’s parking in the rear and the counter service was good.

Tried this place while visiting Charleston. Chicken sandwiches were good! We tried the Boxcar, Buffalo, chicken strips and those were crunchy and delicious. Their fried pickles were a little greasy but ok.
Staff was nice and the order didn’t take too long.
Only thing is that bathrooms are not very clean.

Absolutely Amazing! Everything about this place was fabulous. A little busy on a Sunday but the wait time for food was less than 8 minutes. We ate outside under their covered patio cause inside was a full. But from the amazing customer service to the food, this place comes highly recommend. Real full size chicken breast sandwich tasted better then any competitor they have. Their fries, OMG! I don't know what they do to them but you have to taste them to believe them! If you're looking for something delicious, THIS is the place!

Now this was a great chicken sandwich. The pimento cheese and the peach slaw just added to the hype of the sandwich. The roll was like a hamburger roll so you didn’t fill up on roll. The French fries had a nice seasoning and the fried pickles were some of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend

The chicken sandwich is awesome. They give a very generous portion of chicken and it is tasty and not too greasy or salty. The fries are very tasty, bit can be a bit greasy at times
My one holdup is the peach coleslaw. On numerous occasions it was tasteless. I'm not a fan of peach, but just on general it was not tasty.

I placed an online order tonight. Fries were the best I've had in the area. Crispy, clean tasting oil, not greasy, salted well, and hot. I also got 2 double smash burgers for my wife and I. The burger was substantially larger than I thought and the quality was VERY good for the price. Easily would've paid more. The customer service was on point also as I was greated immediately, and thanked twice when leaving by the guy working the front. I'd highly recommend. It's a staple of West Ashley and the best burger in town.

Excellent! The build your own options was deep, I had the grilled chicken dipped in Buffalo with pickled green tomato. My GF had the chicken salad with pickled green tomato. With sweet potato fries. All was very fresh tasting. Loved the sweet potato fries, top 3 of fries I've had in years! Will not be disappointed. Service was fast and accurate as well.

Cute little place, great service, excellent food! Pretty fast in and out. I usually pick up and sometimes my estimated times are longer than the actual time it takes to get food!
People are always friendly and the last few times I've been there, there's been a nice woman with braids and a great attitude! Would absolutely come back time and time again, best chicken place in Charleston 👌 if you're new try the chicken not so waffle, delicious with the bacon jam!

Hands down the single best thing I've ever had off a food truck. Made this fat kid very happy. The only thing I could even imagine making it better would he to throw a fried green tomato on top of it. Might end up being like Icarus flying too close to the sun. Super tender, tastes like its oven baked, amazing.

The chicken sandwich was good. Don't get the pecan pie in a cup. A third of a cup of some burnt tasting, sugary, goopy brown syrup with candied pecans on top. Didn't taste like any pecan pie I've ever tasted. Couldn't eat it. Took one bite...yuk...and I LOVE sweets. $4 wasted.

Very disappointed. Decided to treat the teens and myself to some chicken goodness. Only this was not goodness. It was poor service from a girl who wouldn't even look at me when ordering. She did however ring me up right. 3 chicken sandwiches with cheese a small drink and an order of fried pickles. I paid over 30 for this. Well when I open the bag at home passing out the food I see we are missing sauces no big deal we have ranch in the fridge. But then there's no cheese on one sandwich. So paid for that and didn't get. Add to no cheese the two sandwiches that got lettuce got old brown bad lettuce. Gross. So I thought duck it I'll try fried pickles my favorite. Only those were so greasy and soggy the batter didn't even stay on. Needless to say that was a waste of money. 30.34 down the drain. And I'm a single mom that doesn't get to go out often so totally failure for the night. Ended up making scrambled eggs for dinner since Boxcar Betty's was a bust. And I love the boxcar in summerville. Just have to waste my time and drive out there to eat, kinda sad considering I live in hanahan.

Justen was Amazing! He was counting customers before they walked in the door to give the kitchen a heads up! Everyone at the Summerville location on 4/12 went above and beyond! The fries were better than the West Ashley location. They were super friendly and very attentive. Best experience with the best food Ever!! I hope that that everyone at that store gets recognized for being Awesome!

Love the new North Charleston restaurant. Food was fixed just right. The restaurant is so spacious and the atmosphere was nice and very clean. The waitress was very friendly and delivering food in in a timely manner. Great experience.

Absolutely fantastic! There's not much to dislike about this place. From the cage and hormone free chicken, locally sourced, and compostable everything, it was fresh and delicious and guilt free (I feel no guilt eating fried chicken �). Not a big menu but it doesn't need to be.
