Hands down the single best thing I've ever had off a food truck. Made this fat kid very happy. The only thing I could even imagine making it better would he to throw a fried green tomato on top of it. Might end up being like Icarus flying too close to the sun. Super tender, tastes like its oven baked, amazing.
Thank you for bringing Boxcar Betty to North Charleston. Your food is the best! Fried pickles - yum!

This was an omg sandwich. We honestly picked the restaurant because we wanted something quick and affordable. Joked it was a hold in the wall in the parking lot. It was truly the best chicken sandwich my husband (buffalo) and myself (boxcar) had ever had.
Very delicious crispy chicken sandwich. Think Chik-fil-a but different, better in some ways. Both the sweet potato fries and regular fries were yummy too.

Good food for the price. The portion sizes were okay. Chicken breading has a little kick to it so beware.
This location had a small parking lot, not a lot of seating. The ac was in but did not cool the back seating area. We got here after lunch rush so needed some love in the dining room area. Busy time we left it was all straightened up. Great option if you need a chicken fix.
The new best chicken sandwich ever! We got a boxcar and a buffalo and split them. I liked the boxcar better, my husband liked the buffalo better (which is backwards for us). We also got an order of the fried green tomatoes and these are also the best I've ever had! They taste almost more like a pickle since they are pickled tomatoes! We also got a couple macaroons, the red velvet and the s'mores, clearly the Red Velvet was the winner here.
Parking can be a challenge, not they do have it.
My brother took us to Boxcar Betty's.... first time there the food was Delicious and the service was great! Whenever you are in Charleston SC... Please check out this joint... Cozy, clean and a beautiful atmosphere for the family.
Solid 4 star restaurant would go back again if in the area. They have macaroons that didn't fit the theme, in my opinion. I wish they had some other options, but they were good. The smash burgers were delicious. They also had a kids meal. Fried pickles were great as well french fries and sweet potato fries were a bit of a disappointment.
Really good chicken sandwich. I got the Buffalo and it was not too spicy but very flavorful. The chicken is moist and the batter is crispy. Fries were a bit cold but tasty. There’s parking in the rear and the counter service was good.
Tried this place while visiting Charleston. Chicken sandwiches were good! We tried the Boxcar, Buffalo, chicken strips and those were crunchy and delicious. Their fried pickles were a little greasy but ok.
Staff was nice and the order didn’t take too long.
Only thing is that bathrooms are not very clean.
Awesome spot! Love both the Boxcar and the double smash burger! Come by for a late lunch, you won't regret it.
Absolutely Amazing! Everything about this place was fabulous. A little busy on a Sunday but the wait time for food was less than 8 minutes. We ate outside under their covered patio cause inside was a full. But from the amazing customer service to the food, this place comes highly recommend. Real full size chicken breast sandwich tasted better then any competitor they have. Their fries, OMG! I don't know what they do to them but you have to taste them to believe them! If you're looking for something delicious, THIS is the place!
