We celebrated our 28th anniversary at High Cotton and it was wonderful!! The oyster stew is a must and we would eat it everyday if we could. The striped marlin and the rainbow stuffed trout were some of the best entrees we've eaten in our married life. We highly recommend it!
Was taken there for the first time by my family for my birthday. The staff were the ultimate hosts. Extremely friendly and attentive without being over bearing. They even had a staff birthday card on our table - nice touch! The food was worth the price. The lobster gnocchi is unique and delicious. Everyone one had solid meals and enjoyed our time tremendously. Our waiter Jonathan was excellent and you’d be in great shape if you get him.

Everyone and everywhere it says you should go to this place... and you should! We had the best birthday breakfast ever! We tried the chicken and waffles, eggs benedict with crabcake and the cinnamon roll. Everything was perfect and memorable. Service was outstanding. Great overall experience! + we sat next to the "Notebook table" 😍
Have been twice and their brunch is amazing. Staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Manager comes to table and thanks you for coming in…Very nice. Eggs Benedict is my go to and quite nice with Crab cake on it as well. Steak and eggs wonderful and Chicken and Waffles an insane taste combo. Prices very reasonable and food quality excellent.
An absolute must! This place blew my expectations out of the water! The food was incredible, we had shared the cinnamon roll, steak and eggs, crab Benedict, and (best of all) chicken and waffles!

Hosted by wedding rehearsal brunch at High Cotton and couldn’t be happier. The East Bay Room was perfect for our 25 guests. The food was delicious! I loved that upon arrival all my guests were offered a mimosa or Bloody Mary. The staff were incredibly attentive. We had a wonderful time. Ahead of the event I also had excellent communication with Keith. Thank you!
Stopped in for brunch on Sunday and were seated right away without a reservation in the bar/lounge area. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which had a cornmeal type waffle which was sweet and tasty. There was a perfectly fried piece of chicken on top which also had a sweet ness to it. The entire dish was sitting in a semi spicy sausage gravy, which brought everything together. My wife got the brioche French toast which was very good but soft on the inside. The food came out very quick and the waitress was friendly.
The absolute best meal my fiancé and I have ever had. We’ve been to several higher end restaurants and we always go back to, “this was good but do you remember high cotton?” Nothing compares.
My husband and I were there this past weekend celebrating our anniversary and we are still talking about how amazing it was. We could not have asked for a better experience and we will be back very soon. The atmosphere was very nice, the food was so delicious (I highly recommend the she crab soup, filet & lobster mac and cheese), and our server Shea was a pleasure. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, and I cannot wait to return!
The sweet potatoe cheesecake was delicious and the side of brussel sprouts was amazing. We thought the crab cakes were good but not great. Loved the live music.
This was one of the reasons we came back to Charleston. The service here is above & beyond! Multiple staff are very attentive to every detail. If they see you have a dirty knife from the bread n butter and are done w it, they'll discretely come by & switch it for a clean one. They pay attention to any notes you add to the reservation. They found out I was a teacher & the manager brought us a champagne toast to celebrate the end of the school year & thanked me for what I do. Best she crab soup I had on the trip. All the food was Ah-Mazing! I had the Halibut topped w caviar.
Had a fantastic experience celebrating our anniversary. Alpha and his assistant manager Becky have a great team. Caroline and Spencer, our service team, were great. Jamie from Nashville on the piano and singing... top notch!
