I got the Shrimp Laksa. It was one of the best, most unique flavors I've ever had! I am so happy I found this place! The staff are super friendly as well. It was amazing! A place you must visit!
The restaurant is well decorated thus giving the warm and feel like you are back home in Malaysia. What's it blend with the restaurant name here - Rasa Malaysia. The food were great and the "Malaysian" taste can be tasted from the food too. I will not hesitate to recommend to anyone especially the Malaysian who miss their country food! Keep up the quality and standard of the food.!
Delicious! We got the Tahu Goreng, Beef Satay, Vegetarian Mee Goreng, and Hainanese Fried Chicken Rice. They are all delicious! We also got the Lo Hei, which is a Chinese New Year salad (Prosperity Toss). Glad to be able to find Lo Hei/Yu Sheng in North Carolina.
EDIT: Also recommend their popiah! Most dishes can be made VEGETARIAN/VEGAN.
Lovely location, in the midst of Southern Village. We chose to sit at the outdoor patio. We had chicken satay, chicken lettuce wraps, Mee goreng and two other entrees. We loved the food, location, service and the complete experience. Would certainly recommend!

2022 update. They kept us fed during COVID-19. We are forever thankful for their resourcefulness. This week was our first time dining in after that craziness instead of doing takeout. Food still delicious and staff still kind.

Yes, they may be a bit pricey, but that's fine for the quality of service and the outstanding food choices. Especially since they can so adeptly hand extreme food allergies as well as vegan and vegetarian. (I have or am none of these, but my wife suffers badly from food related allergies and conditions. She has had no problems after eating here several times.). The menu and environment are authentic. So many good options to try. Ask for advice, take a risk. Nothing will hurt you.

While riding our bikes along the Morgan Creek Trails, we took a detour into the Southern Village Green. We decided to stop for a late lunch at Rasa Malaysia.
We were excited to see they have a nice outside patio with tables spaced safely apart. Their manager was serving as maitre d’, waiter and bus boy, but soon had us seated and got us started with drinks.
The menu choices are outstanding and we ordered a soup, an appetizer and a main course of duck. The food arrives quickly and was in takeout containers, but was steaming hot and delicious.
We love finding places we can ride our bike to lunch and then dine outside. We will be back and try exploring more interesting menu choices.
Please give it a try, and be patient, the poor owner is working as fast as he can.
Very good food. Olivia was a fabulous server. Our plates did not come out at the same time, but the pad Thai was worth the wait.
