Best drunken noodles with shrimp and level 2 spice ever! Tom yum gai soup with shrimp was really tasty too.
Ate lunch with manager on Tuesday afternoon. We were seated promptly and greeted by a friendly server just a couple of minutes after sitting. I ordered a soup followed by a beef stir fry both medium heat finishing with their rendition of fried banana, a favorite Thai dessert for me. The soup had a nice spice level and satisfying broth with good body from the protein and vegetables. The stir fry was okay. I would have appreciated more color on the beef from additional few minutes stir frying and more flavor and a touch of brightness in the broth. Thai food excels in many ways, one of which is the combination of acid and spice which I would have liked to see even in a measured way in the stir fry. The dessert as with the soup had a good thermal heat when served and an attractive appearance. The chocolate drizzle provided a nice accent to the crispy banana wrappers that flaked well when cut with my fork. The banana inside was both thermally hot and soft. Could they offer this same dessert with maybe honey drizzle as another option? Prices seemed reasonable and quite competitive for the area, so I thought I experienced a good value for my lunch. I could return again if I was in the area.(My manager enjoyed her dishes as well.)
Business lunch. Food was very good...but could use more broccoli in the drunken noodle...just two sprigs. But it WAS tasty, and the service is wonderful. Pricing is reasonable.
Best Thai I have had in a while. The food tasted fresh and hot as well as well priced, the staff was very friendly. Will definitely return for lunch
Wonderful food with generous portions. Family environment.
Great and simple Thai food in the heart of Chantilly. The menu is very small compared to other restaurants but that's completely ok as they make a lot more sense this way and you get consistently the same great quality items.
Thanks for the suggestion Google maps! This place was great, the service was great, food serving was sooo quick (which was cool because we were starving!)
The vegetarian options are good and definitely will be coming back to try them all.
We loved the fried rice, for me it was good not to taste an oily rice, and that they had the flexibility to make it spicy for me.
New Thai place near home is always great appreciated!
This place is very nice and prices are pretty ok. The food is 4+* good. I can't give it 5* just because something is missing. Staff was very friendly and professional. I will definitely go there again. And they have hotness scale from 1 to 4. I tried 3 and it wasn't that hot. It was "pleasantly" hot. This place is definitely having my recommendation.
These guys are awesome! Been going here for years and it's the best Thai food around. A little harder to fid because its tucked away, but so much better than the other ones in Chantilly.
Went here for lunch. Quaint restaurant, comfortable decor. The service was very polite and nice. She got our drinks and appetizers first. The menu is interesting with a couple of random Vietnamese dishes on the menu.
The spicy level was kinda random also. American spicy, Mexican spicy to Thai level.
My dad got the green curry with chicken with American spice level. I'd say it is good and I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken, Mexican spice level. The noodles were good. Not mushy and thought the heat level was just right.
Overall, Thai Basil offers good service and decent Thai food for
