Cubs Q

First time going here was on a Friday evening. Wasn't too busy, as we were the only coupe plus a couple of guys at the bar as well. We ordered the "Papa Bear" Sandwich and a 2 meat plate with an extra meat. The meats being Sausage, Brisket, and Pulled Pork. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar and the bartender was friendly and suggested a good summer shandy. However the food was not consistent. The 3 pieces of Brisket on the plate had good seasoning on th outside but it was just too dry in general, only way to make it better was to cover it with the bbq sauce and even then it wasn't that plesant to eat. The pulled pork was decent but required a bit more seasoning. HOWEVER the Sausage was ON POINT!! This made up for the rest of th plate. It was juicy, flavorful, and couldn't have enough of it. The coleslaw was good and the toast was a good addition to the meats. As for the "Papa Bear" Sandwich, it was def good mix of meats with what appears to be some sort of mayo based sauce. For next time I would definitely go for a plate of sausage anytime and a good beer with it. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Cubs Q catered our wedding in August and we cannot say enough good things about them! They had us in for a tasting and were very helpful with answering all questions and very reasonable with prices. They handled everything on the wedding day and made everything so easy on a hectic day. We really wanted a food truck at our wedding so they added on their trailer and it made for such a fun experience for our guests! Having the food served right off the truck also expedited the dinner process over a buffet table. All of the food was amazing and all the guests complimented on it! This place doesnt get the requisite respect it deserves with the bigger competitors in town. Top shelf meat, comfortable sports watching environment, and staff is working their behinds off. Ordering off the wall couldnt be easier, and most everything makea for great leftovers. Seldom crowded, except for during Chiefs games....
