Golden Corral

The selection of hot foods was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak and shrimp...i would recommend trying different methods to fry the chicken. Its terribly dry on the inside. Flavor was great though. The other thing is there needs to be more of a dessert variety. A fresher better cheese cake and more decadent flavors. Overall I would recommend this location!

So.. I have to say that I have never walked into a Golden Corral at 1.5 hours before closing and found an employee, cleaning the salad bar until now. I was amazed! As usual for GC, this place gets mixed reviews... but the average is 4.0 and I saw that the owners respond to a lot of the reviews. That was the thing that drove me to come in, as they seemed to care. And they really do. I spent time talking to one of the owners this evening and she was pleasant and really seems to care about her customers and her restaurant. Also, need to give a shout out to Savanah, the server. She was friendly and attentive and a pleasure to have serving me. And thanks to Carlos for the deliciously grilled steak (no picture, cause I was hungry and it was good, even at nearly closing time). Thank you for one of the better GC experiences that I have had. Oh... one other thing... they had Texas Pete hot sauce. Yay! Most GCs, that I have been to, have Tabasco... which is not my fave.

Worst experience ever! So this by far was the dirtiest place I have been too. The staff that we interacted with were inattentive, rude, and had an overall "don't care" kind of attitude. My wife and I paid over thirty dollars for dinner and over half the food line was empty bins, and the entire line was filthy. But of course you can't see this until AFTER you pay. I asked a server on the line if more food was coming up because the little bit of food that WAS there was all dried up. I got "we are busy" as a response and the person walked away. So the rude behavior goes on and on but what I want to focus on is the food and cleanliness of the restaurant which was severely lacking. Save yourself 30 dollars and avoid this place like the plague. It is the Golden Corral on San Mateo and academy in Albuquerque NM. The picture of the receipt shows the store number and exact address. PLEASE avoid this place it is by far the worst in Albuquerque!!!! Please look at pics closely you will see what I mean.

Came in for a solo dinner and to review the 3rd Denver metro location. Kind of a booger to get on the property from east bound Arapahoe, but it can be done. Tried to apply the Protein First rule, but there was NOBODY in the carving station area! Fortunately, this is a newer store, similar to the one off Santa Fe. I walked the trays and found.... green bean casserole. WIN! Had that then saw the liver and onions. Took some.... WIN! Good and tender and tasty. Mind you, I have had fresh (as in removed from the cow at slaughter, thrown in a hot cast iron pan with fresh cut onions fresh) liver and onions and these, being in a buffet line steam tray, brought a smile to my face. Well done, GC, just for that. Finishing up with the sirloin (medium rare), a sliver slice of ham, and the BBQ beans. Steak is good, s little bit tough but still good... The ham looked a bit dry but combined with the beans, it perked right up. Mayyybe room for a little more liver and onions???😅 Nope, small slice of blueberry pie and a smaller slice of carrot cake 😋😋😁 The store was good and clean, the servers all friendly, and the service good, exception being the temporarily abandoned carving area. Points docked for that. Empty and/or unlabeled steam trays, points off. Blueberry pie was rock hard. Points off. Just like the Sheridan store, so easy to bring up to a 5, just takes a little polishing. Worth the 18-something? I think so, for a steak dinner with gobs and gobs of fixin's, you can pay a LOT more, get a LOT less, and it can taste like poo. I'll be back.

From the start I was ignored like I wasnt a paying customer. I got one small plate of food and sat down and all the sudden there was sheriffs and swat vehicles in the parking lot were a crowd of people gathered. My wife did not get to eat, our kids we're scared and did not get to enjoy their meals. I didnt get a full meal and the manager only gave us one full refund out of 5. I would not recommend this place for a family meal or kids at all.
