Fong's Pizza

Had to go for the Poutine, which was delicious. Also tried a couple different pizzas, the Polynesian and the Egg Roll. Both were great, both there and then later as leftovers. Considering the work shortage, the staff was pleasant. Definitely a must try for anyone looking for something a little different.

We stopped here for lunch during a recent roadtrip! We ordered a traditional pepperoni pizza, general tso's pizza, Chinese cheese sticks, and Chinese pizza rolls! I loved the pizza rolls and cheese sticks the best! The pizzas were good but not amazing. Would love to try all the pizzas! I would suggest trying as how often do you see Chinese pizza!

We went for lunch today and it was very empty. They have great lunch specials, so that was kinda surprising. That did work to our benefit. Service was prompt, food is cooked to order and came in a reasonable about of time. Server was kind and patient while we made our choices. The only thing I would have like to have seen was an offer of refills a little sooner, especial since there was maybe 1 other table seated at that time. As far as food, it was delicious. I thought the loaded potato pizza would be super heavy and filling, but it wasn't. To my taste, just about everything has a bite to it. I'm not going to knock stars off just because I prefer less spice, but it would be nice to have more options available. The cereal pizzas are unique and the one we had was well done. At first, we thought they have us all the crumbs from the bottom of the box, but quickly realized they crushed the crunchberries, probably so we didn't have cereal balls rolling off as we tried to eat it.

I think the pizza here is gimmicky, overrated, and overpriced. I ordered the "Iowan," which is supposed to be a meat-based pizza with BBQ sauce. The pizza I got was seriously lacking in meat toppings. The crust was disappointing; it was super thin and super bland. Speaking of super bland, let's talk about that BBQ "sauce." It was nothing but liquid, with a very foul taste that was somehow sweet in an unpleasant way. It had no spice or smoke flavor like BBQ should. Not only that, but they used way too much of it. The liquid BBQ "sauce" combined with a rubbery-thin crust made the cheese and what little meat was on the pizza completely fall off the crust each time each time I tried to eat it. And finally, this is a minor nitpick but still annoyed me, and that is the special they were running. Buy any specialty pizza and get a free crab rangoon pizza. This did me absolutely no good, as I have a seafood allergy. In fact, the waitress kept asking me if I was sure I wanted the Iowan, as if she knew I was making a bad decision. Everyone around me was getting the special, which included a free pizza. But because I'm allergic to crab, I felt like I was getting ripped off. For $25, my pizza was lacking, but had I been able to get two pizzas for $25 it might have been worth it.

Extremely disappointed. Ordered delivery started with an 1 hour wait. Called to check on our delivery after 1 hour and 10 minutes. Front desk was extremely polite and said the driver would be there soon. Driver had our name and room number and 2 phone numbers, but left the food at front desk without telling the hotel who it belonged to, no name, no room number. Found the food 15 minutes after driver had left it. Called and talked with front desk and could hear the manager in the background talking bad about me. The young lady I was speaking with on the phone was polite the entire time that was the only positive. They are refunding but is was terribly negative experience.
