Brooklyn Heights

With a 30 minute wait for seating I decided to get food to go - which took 45+ minutes. This was tonight, December 4, 2020, around 5:30 PM, and I didn't leave until around 6:20 PM. I've been here many times, and the food is always rock solid. Until tonight. Even with as busy as it was, I'm not sure why the chicken in the chicken parmesan had the texture of chicken that spent way too long in a microwave and then all day under a heat lamp. The pizza, meat lovers, was also garbage. If this is what I was served while dining in, I would have returned it to the kitchen. Sad and unfortunate.

Last night we ordered for pickup. I ordered at 5pm and was told it would be ready in 20 Minutes. I arrived at 5:20pm. I watched while 8 other people who came in after me received their food. They told me it would be 6 minutes for the pizza..this was at 5:30. I finally received my food at 5:50pm. When I got home the pizza, hero sandwich and lamb gyro were all cold. We paid $50 for cold food. I called and spoke to the manager Matt, he did not offer me anything for the terrible experience, he wanted me to tell him what I wanted. We have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but this is unacceptable and the manager did not do anything to earn my repeat business.

Changing my previous 5 star review. I understand being busy, but 9 min on hold, quoted 35 min for a pizza and a sandwich. Waited over 40 min after that 35 min sitting there. The food they gave us was obviously forgotten about. Soggy pizza, cold fries and sandwich. No apology, no explanation or offer to remake, just a "here you go". A shame that we won't be coming back here.
