My favorite breakfast is chicken-fried steak with hash browns and eggs. This Diner has the best chicken fried steak I've ever had.
Really like this place, have the same waiter almost every time. The seating out front, out side is a nice touch this time of year. My mom loved this place so I go there when she is on my mind.
I am not sure how old this diner is but it appears to be a place frozen in time for many decades. The decor, the atmosphere, the menu and the old fashioned friendly service are reminiscent of an era of at least half a century ago. Just as it was in those old days, only cash is accepted so store away your credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay methods. The food is authentic for that period and comes in generous portions. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Check hours before going.
Finally, a Local Place that knows how to make EGGS TO ORDER! Prices are right with Great Service! Homey with a Western influence. Ask for Jane...customer service server extraordinaire! Note: You can order Basted Eggs here! Great pancakes, omelettes, crepes, biscuits w/gravy and anything else you want! Also, get their restaurant incentive card ...you get a free meal after so many food purchases!
Oak's is a classic diner experience! We had peach pancakes and a chorizo omelet, both of which were delicious. The waitresses call you "hon" and have probably worked there for decades.

1st time here. Great service& food!
Best Huevos Rancheros in town! Pancakes are great too; really, anything on the menu is served fresh and hot out of the kitchen.
Recommend by a local. Great small town diner and breakfast was good. Exceptional service!
Great place for breakfast! Ordered pigs in a blanket and loved it. The breakfast sausage was as big as a polish sausage and the pancakes are homemade - very light and flavorful. The service was so-so, the restaurant was very busy. Our server was so rushed, we had to ask for things more than once. Even with the rush, though, the food came out quickly. The prices were very reasonable.
A simple breakfast diner. With good food. We enjoy Oaks every time we are in Cave Creek. When we have time, we order the German pancakes. So good! (Think Dutch Babies). Order them first, they take about 20 minutes. Worth the wait!
The food was okay, it was hard to watch some some health violations. No one wore gloves, soda machine must be broken because they were pouring soda out of bottles, ice was sitting in a bucket melting on the table. Refills were hard to come. Atleast a 30 min wait before food came out. Open jar of jelly sat on the counter the whole hour we were there. Dirty fan was set up facing the kitchen staff so can't imagine dirt not blowing in people food when it is hot. Cups smelled nasty. Food still on the floor. No sanitizing buckets for rags to be rinsed to clean tables. I watched a lady use her hand for ice instead of a scoop.
Yummy breakfast... Really loved the blueberry flapjacks!! I found the prices to be a bit steep for breakfast but, I also don't get out often for breakfast!! I loved the small town feeling and will definitely go back again!!
