We had a great meal here. All of the food is home made and delicious and the portion sizes are huge. Don't forget to check out the daily specials. This is definitely where the locals eat. Prices were reasonable. Credit cards are accepted.
I have the cheeseburger with fresh fries. The patty was an enormous slab of fresh beef. It was very tasty. The fresh fries were delicious but needed some salt. I also had a root beer float. It had two large scoops of vanilla ice cream, and didn't disappoint.
My wife had the San Jose (a sandwich with turkey, bacon, swiss, and tomato on sourdough). It too was delicious and was made with oven fresh turkey.
It was too much food to eat. We took some home with us.
I stopped here for breakfast. I was in Casper for business from Laramie. I looked at Google for restaurants and Sherries had a high rating. I stopped and was not disappointed. Service, atmosphere and food were great. Looks like my monthly stop
Absolute Must if visiting Casper. The food is outrageously delicious. The serving size was very generous with me taking half of my meal with me. Hot chocolate was chocolatey and topped with lots of whipped cream and mint chocolate cookies to finish it off. Don’t be fooled when ordering their fresh gooey homemade cinnamon rolls as one is so big you can easily share with someone else. Loved the fact they can accommodate vegetarians with biscuits and gravy without the meat. Server was friendly and helpful and Sherrie checked on us several times. It doesn’t get any better than this. If I lived in the area I could see me becoming a regular at Sherries. Don’t pass Sherries up because of its size. Great things come in small packages and this is certainly one of those times. Come in, sit down and feel at home. Two thumbs up.
Absolute MUST when in Casper for lunch. We were passing through and stopped for lunch with family. It was a great fit for everyone, including our two young kids. Service was amazing and the food was incredible. Portion sizes are gigantic (the club sandwich will feed 2 people, promise. My husband is a giant and only ate half). I asked about the bread pudding and was given a full serving on the house. You must also ask for a side of their Cajun sauce. It's like honey mustard but better. We would have bought it by the bottle.
Sherrie's had a great lunch. It is obviously a local hangout. Nothing "chain" about it. The variety of the menu was excellent. Lots of different types of meals available. I had a burrito with Christmas sauce -- red and green chili. Even though it was tame spice-wise, it tasted fresh and good. Our waitress was very friendly and we even got one of their rolls to go, along with some of their butter sauce.
The cinnamon rolls and coffee to-go was absolutely delicious. 5 stars! The staff is friendly, helpful and offered great area attraction suggestions. Wonderful atmosphere, coming back to have breakfast, it smelled amazing. I wish we'd have ate there instead of the hotel.
What a great experience this little place is. Put it on your list while visiting Casper. Such heart felt welcoming friendliness!
BIG portions for a SMALL price!
It's a small private diner so you have to be patient but it's worth the atmosphere and the food quality and the awesome staff. Coffees were topped off regularly and the hashbrowns were crispy. If I lived closer this would be an every week stop for breakfast.
