Jackpot. Wow, I hit the jackpot driving up here from the "Springs". They have real Maple Syrup, and their peach pie is very possible the best ever made. Lots of fresh peaches (you can tell when I pie is made with canned fruit.) It was still warm. I know pie for breakfast seems strange to a lot of folks, but my New England roots make this acceptable, and you other folks need to try it before you knock it. Great little spot to go back to.
First impressions were good – it appeared to be well maintained, clean, and had a decent menu – not too many items but enough of a variety, and reasonably priced. It was pretty small, only containing about half a dozen tables, and a few seats at the counter.
First restaurant at the base of Pikes Peak.. It's a classic little dinner with that 50's 60's vibe ... Pop oldies playing nonstop, and it's a blast!! The food is simple, hot, fresh, and delicious!! Super Friendly staff.. The Black Cherry Ice Cream is MMMMMMMMMMMMMM..... 5 STARS !!!
Quaint family run diner with good food and fun atmosphere, with a jukebox playing. A little pricey, but not bad for being at the base of Pike's peak.
Me and wife stopped in here after long trip up Pikes Peak. Right at the bottom of the mountain. Great food. Super friendly staff. Loved the atmosphere. Got to see an old friend, Karate chop Mr. Potato head. Lots of nostalgia. Will be making the drive back soon. Only drawback is parking. Limited.
Such an adorable place with simple yet delicious food! We stopped by for a late lunch after coming down from Pikes Peak & it was exactly what we were looking for. It is a small place & the decor is adorable, 50’s style music coming from an old jukebox was a great touch!
On the way up to Pikes Peek we decided to try Mildreds Cafe, I ordered a Juicy Lucy. Phenomenal! Cooked to perfection. This sandwich was made for the wondering traveler. Incredible! I highly recommend giving this place a shot. I read where a man said he would drag his balls across broken glass for another juicy Lucy and now I can see why he said that!
A great little place with an old diner-like atmosphere and great food. I knew I had stepped into the right place for lunch when I saw that they had a Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser role on the menu (if you are from NJ and have been living far away for a while you would share my excitement). Prices could be better but it is at the foot of Pikes Peak after all.
Their sweets are really great. Awesome pie awesome shakes and not overly sweet or fake. Tastes homemade and rich. The strawberry milkshake tastes like real stawberries. Their burgers are unique with a nice bun and cheese inside the burger. Excellent mountain comfort food, great way to replenish calories after a long hike. Some of the low reviews on here are infuriating clearly made by folks who frequent starbucks drive thrus. Its a diner not a coffee chain relax, enjoy the comfy booth seats and the mountain views.
It is just a little place, but is lovely. The food quality is awesome, the bratwurst are delicious. Ice cream very good also, and the most important fact, is homemade. They are very nice people. I can't wait to go back there.

Staff is very friendly, and the place is so cute! The prices are very fair. We did have to wait a while for our food, and I was very surprised that my burger came with nothing...just the patty and bun, I asked for a side of stuff and got 1 small tomatoe slice and a tiny peice of lettuce.. I would recommend trying it though, just know what your getting when you order. Milk shake was good, and my husband liked his philly cheese steak, kids meals not so great.
We stopped for an afternoon treat after coming down the Peak. My family got ice cream which they enjoyed so much, they didnt talk while they ate it. My husband and I got cherry pie which was wonderful. We enjoyed a great chat with the owner and will definitely be back.
