Planet Smoothie

Every time I visit this smoothie shop I have a wonderful experience. The customer service is amazing, they are always so polite and accommodating, they will not let you leave unless you are 100% satisfied. Smoothies are so healthy and delicious. The place is always spotless and there is even a little play area for the kids which is so great to keep the little ones busy while you are waiting for your smoothie to be made. The prices are very reasonable, you get so much for your dollar and the quality is top notch. They are very supportive of veterans and even have a promotion of $1 any size smoothies every Thursday for military, policy and EMT, super cool!!! The also have lots of promotions and giveaways if you follow them on Instagram and/or Facebook, who doesn't love freebies! Overall I'm really impressed and highly recommend this place! I will definitely be coming back.

I was disappointed today. This used to be a decent smoothie bar. I hate to give bad review, as I know running a small business is difficult and these are new owners. I was looking for a smoothie with no added sugar, and picked a the green Apple Jacks Smoothie, but asked if there are any syrups added. I asked twice, and the boy assured me there is only kale, apples and kiwi. Well, I saw the kale and apples, but the kiwi came from a squeeze bottle. Fine, I thought, they are pre-blended. The smoothie was very sweet, and had some spice in it, like cinnamon. I asked, what else is in it. No, mam, he said, nothing else, it's probably the ingredients of the kiwi you are tasting...this is, he said, like the apple jacks cereal. Ok, I'm a foreigner, didn't grow up eating cereal, and don't eat it still. It's really bad for you. The owner should educate the staff, that there are people with health concern, like diabetes, allergies to all kinds of stuff, asthma or cancer. There are actually people, who are also trying to stay healthy by avoiding sugar. The staff should be able to explain what's in the smoothie he is serving. The fruit should not have "ingredients". He did make another one, the other green smoothie, I asked without the passion fruit, which also came from a squeeze bottle. The second smoothie tasted horrible, like freezer burned flavor, and I had to throw it out. At a smoothie business you'll have to deal with health nuts, as people are looking for an a healthy alternative to ice-cream. OK, have mostly super sugary stuff, but if you are offering green smoothies, make it right. Or just don't serve it. The fact that your product contains fruit, doesn't make it healthy if you are drenching it in sugar syrup. I hope it gets better.
