Our Dine-in experience:
The very first time we went on Sunday we ordered ( assorted platter, butter masala dosai) dosai was amazing, crispy even the platter was great and the hospitality was awesome too since the owner was present. He is a very kind and great person.
He recommended us to have chola bhatura whenever we visit next!. So, today we went again and order chola bhatura and masala Dosai. The bhatura was punctured, extremely oily and upon asking the server, he mentioned that since he waited for 30 sec it got deflated but actually it's not properly prepared. Even the Mysore masala wasn't crispy at all, actually it was soft.
Moreover, we felt quiet awkward this time since the servers started eating their dinner just 2 tables away around 9pm just before the restaurant close. I never saw it before in any indian restaurants here in States.
So, for first visit, we give 5 ⭐ review but now, it's just 2 ⭐ .

UPDATED:
I recently visited and found that they are practicing SD and the place was a bit cleaner so changed my rating. As always, the place has one of the most delicious south Indian food.
They still need to work on services and keep the place cleaner.

NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL.
Food is good so order online if you want but the owner is here to make money and has no concern for safety. In his words "there is no corona, it's all over".
Check the photos, there were 50-60 folks in that small hall.

We have been long time customers of Udupi cafe! Over the many years they have managed to keep the quality and taste of food top notch! The manager is a very friendly guy. We often take out food and we've never experienced any issues. And best of all that are so many options to choose from! There's some thing for every palate and diet. And eating plant based food feels great!

This was one of our pitstop driving to Charlotte NC. Yummy food and the coffee is a must after the food.

Went here for a graduation dinner today and it was delicious! I got the Mysore Dosai and it was chefs kiss. This place is great for vegetarians and it is FILLING. I also enjoyed their tea and idli! Definitely a go-to hole in the wall spot. Our server was very nice and the food came quickly! We came around 3:30, though, but it was filled with people still so it seems like a great place. Will be coming again!

Have tried this restaurant very recently along with my friends as we came here to visit Sree Venkateswara Temple of NC. Restaurant is very close to the temple so if anyone thinking where to eat after the darshan this one’s the Best choice. A complete Vegetarian Restaurant it is .
They’re open for Dine in now, Socail Distancing has been followed. We have ordered almost everything from this restaurant, we started with Mirchi Bajji which was ammmmazing along wid the Mint,Tamarind chutney and then Udupi idli. Pongal ( was too good and super hot )which comes wid a wada and a papad, Navratan Korma,Malai kofta both the curries were amazing. Had poori and Chana poori which are good and served hot. I can say one must try their “Chef’s Special Uthappam” The best out of everything we tried here .
Paratha wasn’t that great, seemed like a regular frozen one that we make at home. Aaaand Had coffee, chai as a final touch. The best Coffee I’ve had in recent times♥️♥️. They do have Pan as well.

I ordinarily wouldn’t eat at a vegetarian place, but this one is amazing. We’ve eaten there twice so far and each time was wonderful.

We ordered Andra dosai, Mysore masala and Hyderabad onion dosai. All of them save texture and taste. Dosai batter had no salt, so all dosas were tasting bland. We were expecting atleast two or three varieties of chutneys but they just served coconut chutneys. Sambar doesn't taste like South Indian. it's very watery and tasted like North Indian sambhar. Gobi Manchurian, Mixed Veg Pakoda and Channa Batura are their true specialties. They were authentic and tastes excellent. Rava Dosa was so crisp and tastes really good. Service was really quick.
