King Buffet

All the food was stale, crunchy, & old. Nothing was fresh. Went to eat there on a Thursday evening and most of the food was gone and the stuff they still had out had been left out there for hours. When I told the manager about it & asked if there was a price difference because of it she got mad made me pay and told me never to come back.

I was a little disappointed when I saw there was only 1 buffet in town. Boy was I surprised! This place has everything! Mongolian grill, sushi bar(with actual good sushi), clams, all the traditional Chinese buffet options and my personal favorite, walnut shrimp. I'm writing this review as I eat so I can scarf down more great food. Hopefully I can make another round ;)

UPDATE: I just went for the Sunday all day dinner buffet. It's $13.99 so more than lunch but you get all kinds of really nice seafood. Yeah, come during bust times or at opening to get the freshest food! Scallops, crab and prawns! I just had the biggest prawns I ever saw or had ant any restaurant! These are the salty spicy type served with the head attached. Just pull off the head and eat the rest!. see the pics! The KING BUFFET IS OPEN again. It's the first buffet to open as far as I can tell in Northern Nevada. Called all the other buffets in Reno, and all still closed. They have implemented safety rules for the buffet. First, you gotta have a mask on to go to the buffet food tables as well as they provide gloves and hand sanitizer. If you want they dish out your food for you and you just point at what you want. Everybody seemed to be going along with the rules. The food is the actually very good for a $9.95 lunch buffet. There's steamed salmon and white fish as well as all the noodles and fried rice you want. Pot stickers are there along with 2 kinds of soup. There's even sushi rolls that actually are pretty good. You might want to go earlier to get the freshest rolls. If you want Mongolian BBQ stir fry, they have that too! Just don't show up 30 min to closing and expect the food to be all fresh, they're not gonna put out food at closing just to go to waste! All the employees are masked and gloved up and t he service was fine clearing the plates each time we visited the buffet. I'm glad this place is open again. I'll go back soon!

We used to go here all my family and me 2 or more weekends per month until today Sunday 5/22/2022 when was our last time going to this place. We weren't comfortable there. First think the man who did serve the drinks to us was kind of rude, so I thought I just will not give him gratitude tips $ due to his behavior. But he surprised me when he brought the check to me and he already included 10% of gratitude tips. Personally I'm one of the people who ever leave gratitude tips in every restaurant and hotels, but I believe the workers must earn them with them jobs and aptitude, That wasn't the case today. I were almost to asking for his supervisor but my wife and uncle said please don't do it, we just don't gonna come here anymore. No sure if the King buffet owner knows what his employee is doing but that is terrible and also illegal. He should put attention on this ASAP

Tonight I was finally able to try this place. Walking in the doors I was already impressed seeing the beautiful fishtank in the front. The lady who helped me is named Jennifer and she helped me decide how to order and I ordered to go at the Buffett. The way they charge for it is so great and I was able to get lots of different sushi for a fair price. I have been craving sushi a lot and have been trying to find my spot out here, and I'm glad to say I finally have. Thank you for your help today Jennifer I hope you see this. More than pleased with the place.
