Del Taco

I bought a # 9 & 3 tacos & a drink I got to my Truck and headed Homw for Dayton Nv, I pulled over in Mound House to eat & my meal & low & behold I was missing a Taco & my French Fries. I thought by going in & ordering my order would be right I guess that's not the case, strangely enough while I was waiting for my order at the counter a Woman came in and complained about not receiving part of order.

Waited 5 minutes in the drive through at 7am. Thought they were closed. Went to the door and walked in and the kid was confused why I was in the dining room since it was closed. I told him I waited in the drive through for a bit and wasn't being helped so I walked in. He did ring me up and got my food and locked the door behind me. Probably won't be back to this one.

I'd like to say I have nothing against this restaurant, but when I saw the dried corner on the meat of the steak taco I hadn't eaten (I just couldn't force myself anymore). So the rating is now also for the restaurant, but the only real reason I decided I had to make this review is because someone thought this would make for a good recipe to replace the great tacos they used to serve. Whew... what can I say about these things? They're sloppy and they lack flavor. That's the primary thing, since a tasty sloppy thing is generally enjoyable. But, yeah... the steak in particular is unpalatable. It's not at all a flavor that makes you want to keep ordering these. The chicken is a bit better... the flavor of it is a bit richer. I wouldn't order either of these newer tacos ever again. I miss the old tacos very much. The previous incarnations had semi-blackened meat, onions, cilantro, a bit of sauce and for those who like avocado, a whole big slice per taco. The flavor wasn't too off from what you could have gotten from a local cantina or taqueria. Now it's like the *worst* pan scrapings imaginable wrapped in flimsy corn tortillas with a halfhearted slap of wilted onions kinda off to the side. Not even the Del Scorcho sauce saves it. Nope. Just DON'T... unless you're curious. It may be to your taste, certainly not mine. Hope this helped people better understand the current state of this Del Taco restaurant, perhaps even the whole chain.
