Skip's Kitchen

I've heard about Skip's for years, but have never been. Today we were in the mood for burgers so we made it a destination. We both had the Western. They were cooked to just under medium so the burgers were juicy. The bacon and onion rings were crunchy and the bun was soft. It was definitely a 4 napkin burger. They should come with wet wipes. We also had the Mac Puppies which were hot and crunchy on the outside and rich and gooey cheeseiness on the inside. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was not only worth the trip, but definitely a new favorite for us.

Exciting vibe with good food restaurant. We have sweet potatoes fries with skips original burger and steak sandwiches. The sauce in the steak sandwiches makes their sandwiches so special. On the menu they said it has Gorgonzola cheese and other ingredients. Although I am the person who doesn’t like blue cheese, their sauce taste was so good. Compare to the sandwiches, the burger sauce was not impressive. However the patties in burger was juicy and fresh so i think it can compensate the sauce. When you make order, the cashier asked you to pick the card. If you picked the Joker card, your lunch is on them. Like this their vibe is energetic and fun.

Had a great time at Skips. The three cheese burger was really amazing. I would have never thought of Brie on a burger but it totally works. The mac puppies were delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and even came up and refilled my drink (not bad for a counter service self service fountain drink joint). On the way out Skip thanked me for coming to his restaurant. It was a pleasure to be able to tell him how much I enjoyed it. Looking forward to coming back.

I usually don’t give reviews but soon as me and my fiancé walked in we were greeted with open arms!!!! The Aroma coming from the kitchen was magical. Then Skip introduced himself and asked for our name and remembered them. The boys in the back did a great job on our meals. I will return at least once a week

This place is hands down my favorite burger joint in Sacramento! I live an hour away and only get here once or twice a year but see you're coming but the proprietor skip still greets me by name I feel like I am dining in his personal residence. He meets, greets, and serves customers like they were sitting at his dining room table. That, along with the amazing food and presentations, make this a worthwhile place to partake. I am a Burger Guy and this is one of my favorite places on the planet.
