This family run Italian restaurant is simply amazing! I would recommend it to anyone looking for good authentic Italian food. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive, and the food was incredible (homemade ravioli), including the homemade desserts! The head chef even came out to see how we were enjoying our food! We were surprised to learn that the chefs are from different towns in Italy. Definitely a place not to miss!
This place is absolutely amazing! Best food I ever tasted, service is exceptional and a home like environment! Each server, waitress, owner and hostess make it a point to get to know you and make you feel comfortable! This has been my Friday night excursion for months! You all are the best restaurant in Putnam country! All should check out the specials as well, my personal favorite is the stuffed avocado! Ty Prato!

Took my family to Prato for Christmas eve diner, It was amazing. We had a wonderful time and wonderful food. Kimmy (our server) took very good care of us . I had the gnocci and bracciolla . Tasted just like mama mde it. And the artisan bread was to die for !! Thank you Prato 🎉🎶💙🎉🎶💙🎉🎶💙🎉🎶💙
Went for a girls supper club dinner last night and was Won Over! from start to finish it was amazing. Service, food, atmosphere! Can’t wait to eat my way through their menu, so many delicious and fresh choices.
I had Mozzarella Sticks for an appetizer, Gnocchi with a side of Alfredo sauce for dinner, and Fried Dough with a side of Nutella for dessert. EVERYTHING was amazingly delicious!! It was *so* worth the horrible drive through the snowstorm last night. I highly recommend! Service was great, atmosphere was great, everything was great :)

As soon as I walked in to Prato, the environment as well as the new renovations are extremely welcoming. Not to mention the amazing staff that without a doubt goes above and beyond to exceed your expectations dining at Prato. The food is phenomenal and would recommend it to any one and every one. The specials that they offer are creative and delicious. The pizza is consistent, crispy and just the right amount of cheese. If you haven't tried it.. You are deffinently missing out!
Omg, my 6th time at this restaurant and the best yet! The homemade pasta and desserts are amazing. The manicotti are so light and super delicious, a must try for everyone. The bakers name fits her delicacies. "Angel's"rice pudding and tiramisu are heaven on earth.

I finally had a chance to have lunch here and it was amazing. Chicken Parm wedge cooked to perfection, a small bowl of pasta è fagioli w/ bacon and garlic knots topped with bacon. We couldn't stop talking about the food on the way home. We will definitely be returning for dinner.

Great experience last night with Bronx friends. Finally got them up to Carmel to eat at Prato. Food, staff (thank you Kim) whole experience was completely amazing. Johnny’s mozzarella & the olive bread were awesome, apps & deserts great as was everyone’s main courses. I think you’ve made some new “Bronx” customers. Thanks for a fun and delicious night
Prato is a nice lil find tucked into small shopping center... offering some pretty solid Italian classics.
The ambiance is a bit loud but not in a bad way and the decor is welcoming. Our waiter was attentive n friendly so all in all a good start.
We ordered of the specials to start w/ arancini being the choice app. They came out rather timely... they were sausage n broccoli rabe stuffed I believe n overall the flavor was very good though I felt they could have gone a little longer and had a more al dente risotto as it was a bit gummy.
Our entrees all came out at the same time and were very well executed. Each dish had the right seasoning and depth of flave that you look for in good cooking. Homemade pastas were good and personally my scarpareillo was delicious.
Will definitely be returning again soon.
I happened to be up in Carmel, NY as my tattoo artist has a shop there. I was starving and wanted Italian. (*Do NOT let the plaza type restaurant pizza shop up front fool you!!)
In the back behind the pizza shop is this warm cozy little spot serving up hot plates of delicious Italian cuisine!!!! My server Celia was amazing! It was packed and I see why. I started with Mozzarella Carrozza. Delicous.... fried cheese is everything!!! I ordered the Chicken Sorrentina which Celia recommended. I wanted more it was THAT GOOD! Pictures do not do this hidden place any justice!! You must come here for yourself!!

A friend recommended Prato Trattoria and we were very impressed. Once you walk through the pizzeria front, you enter a beautiful dining room reminiscent of Italy. The specials of the day board was brought to the table and they all looked delicious. I opted for the stracciatella ala Romano soup and grilled octopus for an entree. Both were excellent. Also, the homemade olive bread was delicious. They also had all the traditional Italian specialties you would expect on the regular menu. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting real Italian food prepared by a real chef. The waitress and the owner/chef were very attentive and friendly.
Delicious pizza.
We also had to order some items from the catering with only 30 minutes of notice and they sure made it happen. Fast and yummy. We ordered penne vodka with grilled chicken, Caesar salad and garlic bread. Their food is very good!
Stopped by for some slices. Amazing service, and amazing pizza. Buffalo chicken and Chicken, bacon, ranch were loaded with toppings. 100% would recommend for everybody!
OMG!!! It’s like the best Arthur Avenue pizza but way up in the Hudson Valley. We come to shoot at the various ranges up here, but we only learned lately about this place.
The sauce on the pizza, the thinness of the crust, the perfect char on the dough…ALL PERFECTION!
I can’t wait to try their veal dishes.
There’s plenty of parking and the staff were all friendly and attentive. It’s a fantastic gem of a place. A real gastro landmark. Don’t miss out on this one.
My wife and I, on a impromptu date night, went here on a whim. What a gem! The food was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere for a sit down dinner was awesome. Our server was sweet. Just come here and enjoy. Definitely coming back!
Wow this was a surprise! The gluten free pizza has to be one of the best I have ever had. The staff is friendly, decor is very rustic Italian, and the menu had a lot to choose from. Oh, and to top it off, they have reasonable prices. They are very accommodating, my mother doesn't eat pasta and let her substitute it for spinach with no problem. It's also one of the few restaurants that still provides a salad with your meal. I was really impressed with our server's knowledge of the menu.
