Prato Trattoria

Prato is a nice lil find tucked into small shopping center... offering some pretty solid Italian classics. The ambiance is a bit loud but not in a bad way and the decor is welcoming. Our waiter was attentive n friendly so all in all a good start. We ordered of the specials to start w/ arancini being the choice app. They came out rather timely... they were sausage n broccoli rabe stuffed I believe n overall the flavor was very good though I felt they could have gone a little longer and had a more al dente risotto as it was a bit gummy. Our entrees all came out at the same time and were very well executed. Each dish had the right seasoning and depth of flave that you look for in good cooking. Homemade pastas were good and personally my scarpareillo was delicious. Will definitely be returning again soon.

I happened to be up in Carmel, NY as my tattoo artist has a shop there. I was starving and wanted Italian. (*Do NOT let the plaza type restaurant pizza shop up front fool you!!) In the back behind the pizza shop is this warm cozy little spot serving up hot plates of delicious Italian cuisine!!!! My server Celia was amazing! It was packed and I see why. I started with Mozzarella Carrozza. Delicous.... fried cheese is everything!!! I ordered the Chicken Sorrentina which Celia recommended. I wanted more it was THAT GOOD! Pictures do not do this hidden place any justice!! You must come here for yourself!! Food, ambiance and service! A1. I will be back😁😘

A friend recommended Prato Trattoria and we were very impressed. Once you walk through the pizzeria front, you enter a beautiful dining room reminiscent of Italy. The specials of the day board was brought to the table and they all looked delicious. I opted for the stracciatella ala Romano soup and grilled octopus for an entree. Both were excellent. Also, the homemade olive bread was delicious. They also had all the traditional Italian specialties you would expect on the regular menu. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting real Italian food prepared by a real chef. The waitress and the owner/chef were very attentive and friendly.

OMG!!! It’s like the best Arthur Avenue pizza but way up in the Hudson Valley. We come to shoot at the various ranges up here, but we only learned lately about this place. The sauce on the pizza, the thinness of the crust, the perfect char on the dough…ALL PERFECTION! I can’t wait to try their veal dishes. There’s plenty of parking and the staff were all friendly and attentive. It’s a fantastic gem of a place. A real gastro landmark. Don’t miss out on this one.

Wow this was a surprise! The gluten free pizza has to be one of the best I have ever had. The staff is friendly, decor is very rustic Italian, and the menu had a lot to choose from. Oh, and to top it off, they have reasonable prices. They are very accommodating, my mother doesn't eat pasta and let her substitute it for spinach with no problem. It's also one of the few restaurants that still provides a salad with your meal. I was really impressed with our server's knowledge of the menu.
