We made a reservation before we visited them but they didn’t seem to need one! The hostess was very nice and the service was very swift. Food was good but not great. The wine was very warm and served that ways which was weird. We ordered grilled artichoke , beets salad, kimchi fried rice, Thai coconut curry. It needed more spice for our palette but it was tasty and I am not sure what is the fuss about the fried rice in the reviews 😁

Food was good. The menu featured a wide selection of dishes, which is usually a sign of less than mediocre food but I was pleasantly surprised. All the dishes ordered were tasty and featured hearty portion sizes. Nothing stood out (in a great or poor way). Service was attentive. We came when it was almost 1p and the place was still bustling. Ambience: Decor inside was nice and modern. One item to note is there was always a wait at the restroom - potentially since there aren't many public restrooms in Carmel. Value: The prices ranged from $10 - $20 / dish, which isn't bad at all in a touristy town like Carmel. I'd highly recommend this place to any travelers who are looking for good food off the main street in Carmel, especially families that have differing cuisine preferences.

Great place for lunch in Carmel! There's a reason this place is rated so highly. They have lots of cocktail options, and they did not disappoint. I got the beach bonfire and it was the best spicy taquilla cocktail I've ever had. It had a genuine kick that did not taste like your typical spicy syrup. The poppy hills was also excellent. It had a perfect balance of floral and fruity. The food was also tasty. The fish tacos are a must! The fish would have been great on its own. Accompanied by a warm tortilla, delicious salsa, and slaw made it to die for. The burger is also a great option. It was decently sized and the fries were perfectly crisp. I'd definitely come here again.

Best value of our trip. Definitely upscale place, dishes were delicious, drinks strong but small. We both ordered the Sunset Dinner which runs from 3pm to 5pm M-F, we got there at 4:56pm. The Sunset dinner comes with soup or salad, main entree, and a dessert. I Had the Shrimp Scampi, my wife had the Grilled Salmon. Both were excellent! We both had salads with their house made light vinegarette and a scrumptious bread, just the right amount of crunch and soft insides. Dessert resembled what we would call a no-bake cheesecake, good but not great. Two cocktails. All that for less than $100. Would definitely go here again, if we visited again.

Came in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We got lucky that the estaurant wasn't full and were seated right away. Our waiter took our drink order right away. he delivered our drinks and took our food order. From here the service took a turn for the worst. It seemed to take a long time for our food. Another waiter brought us our food. We did not see our waiter aver again till I asked for our check. I would have liked to order another mimosa, but our waiter never came to check on us. Overall, food was delicious but service was lacking.

Pangaea Grill in Carmel.was voted Carmels best restaurant in 2022! So we decided to go there for our Anniversary. Parking is tricky cause it's well Carmel...lol! Restaurant is quaint but they have the illusion of it being bigger than it it's because of the mirrors. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS...if not depending on the day you probably won't get seated! I love the lighting in the restaurant and the feel was comfy especially with the fireplace. The staff is mostly from Ecuador. The chef is Ecuadorian andI think he was trained by his Korean mother for cooking! There's a lot of Korean dishes and some Thai and being a restaurant like that in Carmel is quite UNIQUE. We started off with the Eggplant Napoleon with mozzarella, goat cheese and all sorts of yumminess! Very delicious. My husband had the garden salad and I had the beet salad. For dinner I cautiously ordered the duck and my husband ordered the Mushroom Ravioli. So when I say cautiously it's because duck can be VERY tricky to cook...but I thought I'd give it a try. Let me say WE WERE NOT DISSAPPOINTED with our dinner! The duck was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. The cherry sauce had just enough sweetness to it. Only negative thing I have to say is the rice was too wet for my taste. The Kimchee fried rice seemed to be a favorite for people to order and next time I want to try the dumpling appetizer cause it looked AMAZING. Staff was very friendly, informative and it was nice to see him greet customers who had returned to eat! Overall we had a lovely dinner and dessert was yummy too! Enjoy!

The sand dabs here are my favorite. One has a lemongrass cream caper sauce, the other under East meets West has a ponzu ginger sauce. The fish delicate and lightly fried. Contemporary design with interesting art. Congenial staff

Great service! I visited five years ago, and now there's a new owner. The fried rice and crab cakes are delicious.

Excellent restaurant. It’s not really an Asian fusion restaurant per se (though there are a couple Asian dishes) but primary serves solid New American cuisine. The pork chops were outstanding in particular, the scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the ribeye was very good (but not excellent). The ingredients were very fresh, the ambiance was on point, and the service was great. Would go back again.

Wow. Excellent Friday lunch. First, our server, Juan, made excellent recommendations based on our feedback, was prompt, warm, and fun. Spicy poke, 9/10. Sea bass fish tacos 9/10. Clam chowder 9/10, one of the best I've had recently, rich broth without being artificially thick. Ceasar salad and crab good, but outshined by other dishes. Portions surprisingly generous and well plated. May or may not have had 3 delicious, beautifully presented cocktails.
