A magical experience. Staff is first rate. The decor is lovely. The selection for lunch made it hard to decide which tasty dish to choose. The cocktails were creative. Lots of teas to choose from. Hot Chocolate. Then there was the choice of dessert-pies, cookies, ice cream, and cake. I got the Millionaire Cake with chocolate cake, caramel, cookies and fluffy cream. I took home a piece of Key Line Pie for my husband. He said it was the best he ever had. It was as good as it looked. A very fun place.
This is such a magical place especially during the holidays. I highly recommend putting this on your bucket list if you're in the Indy area. Service is phenomenal and the food is delicious. You can't leave without a slice of cake! I do recommend making reservations in advance especially if you'll be visiting on the weekend.
Our photography studio team visited for an early holiday celebration. 💖 it was a lovely way to enjoy a delicious lunch together and indulge with some cocktails and sweets from the bakery. The atmosphere really got us all in the holiday spirit and was so fun to feel like we stepped into a magical space for the afternoon. We had so much fun!
This ambience of this place is so dreamy! I loved the service and the aprons are perfectly complementing the colors and serenity of the place! Cakes were so good and a nice subtle flavor instead of overpowering anything and I felt the sugar content is just the right amount (it felt like they had less sugar on my first bite but maybe I’m just spoiled by eating cakes just filled with sugar). Teas are a nice touch for the cakes! I loved the unicorn white chocolate! It was so cute to see kids so happy in this place!
I cannot recommend this place enough. The truffle fries are amazing. The cakes are...I don't even know what words to use. Legendary? The decorations and atmosphere during the holiday season is truly magical.
We had the most magical time here! Coming for the experience alone is enough! It is so cute inside. The baked goods were all delightful! Lunch was fine, the quiche was kind of burnt and the crust was as hard as brick but it had a nice flavor. My aunt and uncle enjoyed the burger. We split a slice of cake between three of us and took some home for later! Our server Morgan was angelic. It was a delightful experience and we can't wait to come back!
Famous bakery/high tea restaurant in the area.
The shop was completely decorated to appeal to an upscale female clientele. It certainly gave the "princess" vibe. A bit too pretentious.
The Raspberry Champagne cake was decent. The cake was moist, and the frosting was very smooth and luscious.
Gingerbread cake and Buche de Noel cake were two seasonal cakes, both were good.
Still, $17 per slice a bit too much.
We stopped at the Cake Bake Shop to celebrate my birthday! Outside and inside the building the decorations were gorgeous! My husband ordered the Chicken Piccata and I ordered a Caesar Salade. Both luncheon items were delicious! We each picked a cake slice to order for dessert. My husband decided on the Gwendolyn's Famous Earl's Court Chocolate cake, and I chose the Millionaire Cake. Huge slices of cake were brought out and my slice of cake was brought to me with a gorgeous gold candle. Our waiter Josh was wonderful and also explained many details of the Cake Bake Shop history. He was very attentive and the whole staff showered us with fantastic customer service. We definitely plan to go back during the Christmas holidays!
We had such a lovely experience! I ordered the turkey sandwich and my friend had the chicken salad sandwich. The dessert options were almost impossible to choose from, as they all looked incredible. Everything was great, from the food to the service.
Our first time here. Our daughter lives nearby, and she wanted us to enjoy it. The atmosphere is very cool but it's more for the young ladies. I had a burger. Nothing super special, but it was good. My daughter had the salmon . It looked good. The wife had some chicken dish.
