Koko Beach

I have lived in the area for 20 years and keep forgetting about this restaurant, that I have been meaning to try. While Googling for a restaurant in the area to treat myself to a birthday dinner, I was reminded that I wanted to go here. Although the food was great, I had the rack of ribs, I only ate 1/4 of it before boxing it up to go. Unfortunately the overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke was doing a job on my allergies and I couldn't sit there much longer. My waitress Sonja, bless her heart, sent me home with a complimentary piece of cake for my birthday.

Sadly I only got one photo. The food was so good we couldn't stop ourselves from digging in! Service was absolutely amazing. We had salmon and prime rib with clam chowder and french onion soup. Everything from the bread to the entree tasted fantastic. My daughter and I were licking our plates and my wife kept telling at us... Yes, it was THAT good!

First time here and a great experience. The food was of high quality, the service was good, the bar served a generous drink, and the price can't be beat. The interior decor is a bit dated, but it has a nice warm feel. I had the prime rib in the scampi and both were cooked well. Definitely would go back again. The kitschy decor is one of my favorites, but don't take someone here to propose to them!

Delicious food, with a side of bad service :( If you have "JaneG" as you're waitress, try to arrive early, 'cause it's clear when folks desperately want you to hurry and finish so they can leave early. Some folks should be working at the DMV instead of taking care of restaurant patrons. Food was tasty, and the prices reasonable, but the server was a bit irritable/impatient.
