I have never had a bad experience at Harbaugh's. The argument could easily be made that Harbaugh's Cafe is the best place to get breakfast in Carbondale.
The food reminds me of home cooked meals I would eat at Bed and Breakfast's while on family vacations when I was younger.
You cannot go wrong with Harbaugh's Cafe.

I recently found myself hungry in Carbondale while traveling during breakfast time. I found Harbaugh's Cafe after Googling "best local breakfast." The internet wasn't wrong! Harbaugh's has an eclectic, artistic vibe but without any pretense. The staff was friendly, the menu had many options, the service was remarkably fast and the food they brought set the tone for a great day.

The food was good and the quantity was good. There are only a couple of vegan options. The floor under the table we sat was not clean.

Best restaurant in Southern Illinois, period. I eat lunch here at least twice a week and never get tired of their menu. Lots of different options and every dish is fantastic, from the eggs and pancakes to the sandwiches to even the salads. Always excellent service too.

Harbaugh's Cafe is a true delight!! Friendly staff, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I got the veggie omelette and added bacon. Because I'm so extra!!! 🤣🤣 My love got the corned beef hash. All made in house the hollandaise sauce is to die for!! My daughter got the bacon skillet which was scrumptious and a delight. Support local all day everyday. 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Went camping near by. Dropped by for breakfast before we left, so glad we did. Eggs Benedict was perfect, fluffy pancakes, and really great service. 10/10 would recommend if you are driving through.
