Just in town for the day and stopped at the Canton Family Restaurant! WOW! I had Liver & Onions and husband had chicken fried steak. Both were 5 star meals! OUTSTANDING service! The cook DEFINITELY knows how to fix good food! The photo is what I couldn’t finish - it was a HUGE meal! Soup was delicious!
Had a great Reubens at a great price. Food was hot, server was excellent. Tables were clean, we all enjoyed our meals. One down point I did notice on the establishment was that the floor could have used a sweep and a few spots walking felt like there was some grease.
It's our top choice for home cooking away from home in town. The owners are wonderful the service is always friendly and efficient and the prices are hard to beat. The food is delicious and the portions are worthy too. The only way to get a better meal is to cook at home.
Great breakfast! Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon crisp, sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious! Good prices. Great service!
First time ever with bad review. I ordered fried chicken with fries and you'd thought it sit for hours under a heat lamp . All four pieces and fries were tough as jerky dry and overcooked . They weren't packed on this Tuesday either .
Canton Family Restaurant is where everyone in the family can find something they like. A nice feature is the all day breakfast, which is hard to find. I had the Greek omlette which was bursting with feta cheese and chopped tomatoes. The omlette had a nice fluffy texture and came with a choice of potatoes and toast or pancakes. Of course, I chose the pancakes, which were light and not-too-thick and served with a hearty syrup. The atmosphere is very friendly with many patrons and servers familiar friends. The price is family budget friendly too. Update: today we visited and had the Swiss and spinach omlette and once again it was perfectly cooked and oozing Swiss cheese. My daughter had the grilled chicken, which had a very flavorful seasoning and was tender. Another great visit.
