A Cut Above Deli

I’m usually impressed with A Cut Above Deli, as they tend to make delicious food and good portions, but this was a very disappointing visit for me. I had ordered a small BLT and received two slices of very small cuts of bacon on it with an overwhelming amount of tomato and lettuce in comparison. Their signature sandwiches are definitely worth getting, but this portion size was kind of insulting almost. I still recommend them in general for most of their food items, but this was a very upsetting visit for me personally. I still will be going back in the future but will be more hesitant on what I order.

This place deserves to be called “A Cut Below Deli” I’m giving it only one star because it’s convenient to my work but it was not convenient this day. I called placed an order of onion rings and a sandwich. They told me 30 minutes, I show up at the place with 5 people waiting in line with one register and 4 people working there. After waiting for about ten minutes to let them know I’m picking my order up. They reached in the warmer for my sandwich and couldn’t find my onion rings. The lady from the register goes in the back kitchen leaving others who are waiting for their orders there, instead of asking the other three people to get my rings. She comes back 7 minutes later with the onion rings and places it in a bag with my sandwich. Altogether it was 17 minutes too long for my lunch of a half hour. I took out the onion rings and they were dry and burnt and my sandwich was dry and mushy from the heater cabinet My last time I will ever go there, I rather travel further and get quality for my $14.

So I hate to write this review you but just like people get good compliments there have to be some bad one some bad ones I wanted to like this place because my brother gets food from them all the time and I had got a sandwich from them and the 2 gentlemen that were there that day were very nice and very pleasant and even when the gentleman messed up on my sandwich because I never told him I wanted Mayo on it Because they were so nice I just scraped it off and continue to enjoy my sandwich I went back there the next morning to try there breakfast sandwich and the woman that was there never greeted me at all and walked to the back of the store. A younger guy came out said hello and took my order, when it was time to pay the same woman still on the phone had the biggest attitude 😒 cashing me out even with her attitude I said thank you and got nothing in return. Very sad to say not sure if I will be going back 😕

Absolutely love this place! Best sandwiches (personally recommend the roasted red pepper, tomato, and fresh mozzarella panini) and salads I've ever had, hands down. Moreover, the staff is amazing. So, friendly and kind. They work so hard and still maintain composure (which, as someone who formerly worked in hospitality, is not always easy to do when you're insanely busy). One day I got stuck in a 3 hours meeting and they called me several times to make sure I didn't forget about my lunch! When I finally got to it, we had a good laugh. Very happy to support this fantastic local business!!
