Olympus Coney Island

With Covid-19 being at the forefront cleanliness was not at the top of their list. Condiments were on the table were they wiped after the last customer? Evidence that the cloth used for wiping the table was not rinsed well (grains of rice on the table). As we were leaving I noticed the cook was not wearing a mask. Sign said under new management doesn't look good.

It's your average smaller Coney Island on the inside, nothing extraordinarily good or bad. The people leaving as I walked in were called by name, regulars I assume, which always makes an atmosphere friendly. We were greeted promptly and had very good service the entire visit. The food, however, definitely left something to be desired. Biscuits were tough, sausage was burnt, hashbrowns were oddly overcooked-- not burnt but pieces were browned and hardened almost like a nest-like quality. Bacon and eggs were good though. I didn't realize they close at 3 on Sundays, and it was closer to closing (about 2:30), so that could have been a factor in food quality. Overall: great service but the food was mediocre at best.

Food was cold, Gyro sandwich has crumbs for meat, Chili was cold and they happen to use cheap brand hot dogs not traditional to other coneys. Ordered saganaki and found out they don’t even light the plate for traditional “Opa”. Waitress was awful and lacked customer service. Very bad experience. Never going back.
