We stopped here on the recommendation of our server at another local restaurant, born and raised on Heggy's. She went on and on about the food, nuts, chocolates, overall experience, and it lived up to her hype. The diner food, burgers, dogs, fries, rings are the best! The homemade mayo, incredible! And the prices are unbelievable! Then there are the chocolates and the roasted nuts. We munched on them all the way from Ohio back to Illinois! This is our new absolute must experience every time we visit our kids in Akron from now on. I'm glad we gave a generous tip to the server at Mama G's because telling us about Heggy's was priceless. And it's close to the Pro Football HOF, so it's perfect for FB fans and tourists! Can't say enough great about this place.
I've been going here for over 40 years! Yesterday however, I brought two new guests with me and a renewed love came rushing right back as the buttered French Fries arrived (we added vinegar too) and their amazing Burgers. She loved her Shake too. Topped it off with a Sundae and your in-house homemade Peanut Butter Sauce and the amazing Hot Fudge topping. The whole meal was divine and the staff was so attentive especially when requesting both sauces be put on our Ice Cream. Oh yes, and a single scoop - comes as a large double! Plenty to eat and the guests loved it along with it's old-fashioned 'take-me-back-when' era that embraced them with pure joy! Thank you Heggy's. Keep up the good work! We love you!
Absolutely amazing!!!! The fries were so yummy and the coney worth every bite! And then the ice cream was just wonderful. They put their specialty nuts which made it a salty sweet. Definitely recommend this place as a must see, must visit!
I have never found chocolates that I like better including the big name brands. Best ice cream. The butter pecan will take your breath away. The nuts are always fresh and perfect. They will ship anywhere for you including gift packaging. Easy to use website. Vintage "soda shop" on site.
Always nice to support a local small business. A friend of mine grew up in Canton and introduced me to this candy shop. When I told her I was going of course she had a 5 lb order, nice selection of chocolates and nuts nice young man helped me. They were quite busy with it being Valentine's Day in a few days.
Old fashioned deep fried nuts of all kinds. Hand made chocolates in milk or dark. And a lunch counter with milkshake and ice cream sundaes. It's been the same for over 70 years. Because I'm 66. We go there every time we are back in Ohio. It's a good memory of my childhood
From young to Old we all love us some Heggy’s! So affordable too! Super polite staff! Clean Establishment! Delicious food! And the candy……yum!!!!! My only complaint is they don’t seem to hand out the stamp cards anymore which makes me sad.

We’ve been wanting to stop here forever and finally made a point just to try it out, plus I wanted to get some nuts to send to my father. Food was great, came out very hot and all the staff was very friendly and helpful! We’ll definitely be back!!
Great quaint, little 50's diner! It's always a must stop when we are in Canton! The food is good and the staff is friendly! They roast their own nuts in house so you can smell them when you walk in. They have great chocolates and ice cream as well!
