Attention SKIERS!! Talk about a PERFECT way to end your day! We came once last year after a day on the mountain.. the Shepherd’s Pie was AMAZING! Real lamb, absolutely delicious! Came back after a great day on the mountain Sunday, excited to enjoy again.. in a last minute decision switch, I tried the Bangers and Mash… OMG… this is a dish you can’t help but close your eyes as you enjoy the party in your mouth! Kudos Chef!! We’ll be back!! P.S. Irish Nachos are amazing, kids menu is great and affordable 🤩

Great spot camping in next door Waterville pub is located perfectly between Waterville ski resort and campsites and town staff was friendly and kind beyond what would be needed helping find some good hiking spots taking interest in the dog I had was escaping the rain on a hiking trip stopped in for a drink and lunch was happily surprised by both food a staff. I got the Irish Reuben which was excellent but the next day was even better. I got an order of wings to go and have to say probably the best wings I've ever had with the whiskey sauce absolutely delicious 100 would recommend! Wifi is ok . But last good spot before the deep Forest starts

Stopped by around 8:30PM for a quick bite to eat, realizing they were closing at 9PM - my expectations at first weren’t set high, I was just looking for a late dinner after hiking all day. The bartender was super friendly, welcoming and gave me suggestions for some of her favorites on the menu. I was super impressed with everything and now regret that I haven’t stop by this place sooner! I’ve driven by numerous times on the way to different hikes in the area. Absolutely worth stopping by! I had their mushroom soup which was a special, so flavorful and warmed me up on a chilly night. For an entree, I went with their herbed mayo chicken sandwich with fresh bacon. Even though they were nearly at closing time, they didn’t hesitate to make sure my meal came out fresh and piping hot. The fries were the perfect kind of crunchy, and the sandwich was awesome - if you like a little spice, ask for their buffalo sauce on the side - which also came out fresh and hot w a little melted butter added…so yummy. Thank you to the bartender for making some stellar recommendations and for the chef for making a lasting impression and serving quality food. Love this place and can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in the area. Thank you!!

This pub is a year old our waitress said. The bar was packed with hikers/campers and they seemed to be having fun! Very Irish Pub in decor and they played great Celtic music to listen too over the sound system. There is a special menu for this Columbus Day weekend of many items they do not normally make. The lamb shepherd’s pie is a special for the weekend. The dining room is large so do not skip stopping just because the parking lot is busy. Most patrons were in the bar. The restaurant had a constant flow of people and stayed about 2/3 full while we were there. The tables are spaced nicely apart. We arrived on a Sunday around 3:30 PM. The seafood chowder was rich, thick and very flavorful. Just as good as Legal Seafood. A cup was $5.50 but it was loaded with seafood. Unfortunately they don’t have cracked black pepper to add on top. My husband got the New England boiled dinner and he is Puerto Rican and never seated it before but the menu said HOMEMADE CORNED BEEF which he loves. He ate the entire huge plate her was served-except the cabbage which I happily ate instead. I ordered the lamb shepherd’s pie. It does come in the stoneware bowl it was served in. The pie was very delicious and the only thing I would change is reducing the amount of potatoes and adding a bit more lamb. Lamb is rich so it may be too greasy. The grilled bread should have been served with butter or something. The table next to us loved their Irish nachos. The waitress was very personable and helpful. There is no WiFi available.

To whom it may concern.. WOW! Where do we begin? We drove by this little place in the morning on our way to Osceola Mtn to hike and thought…. hmm that’s a unique look. Fast forward ten hours later and boy were we right in the best way possible! We were BLOWN AWAY by a young man named Preston’s attention to our experience. From the knowledgeable special listing to the detail of the cook, he was ready for any question and boy did we throw ‘‘em at him. Previous review mentioned the wings causing a lack of sleep in the best way and boy were they right. I wake up in cold sweats just just trying to get my hands on more of these wings. Per Preston’s recommendation we went with the pulled pork and the juices from the wood fired smoker (I saw it for myself, you can too!) hydrated any last bit from what we sweat out on the hike. This experience was fantastic and I recommend you run, not walk, to JL Sullivans to be treated like family and have service as good as we did with our new friend Preston!
