Sumo Sushi

Had the worst experience here last Wednesday. We were regulars here, but after last week, we will not be returning. Our server was extremely unprofessional and not attentive. Placed our order, 2 people's food did not arrive until an hour after everyone else despite asking 6 separate times for the food. Server also spilled beer on my sushi, and brought napkins to soak up my beer drenched fish. We were so fed up with the experience we said we wanted the remaining items for the two people who had not received their food to be packed to go- took 15 more minutes. When it came time for the bill, there was no consideration for the time or inconvenience. I gave the server back the bill and stated we should not be paying for the two items which took so long. She took it to her manager who stated, well if you don't want it, I wont charge you. Then after I asked for it to be removed again while keeping the food, she stated can I give you a discount because I cannot waive the $17.00 or I will get in trouble. Astonishing. Will never return. Used to frequent at least once a week and took employees from our business there weekly, will never return.

Had to ask for Happy Hour menus. And please - clean the menus! The wrong food was brought & we had to wait & find someone. The beer came not cold. When we mentioned it she felt it & said it felt kind of cool & brought ice! The edamame had no salt & came late. Onions were sliced & put on top & not sautéed. One plus was how big the rolls were. Go to I Love Sushi in Ventura! Delish food, constant great service, ice cold beer with ice cold mug.

Sumo in Camarillo is my favorite place to eat sushi. They are always polite, respectful, and hard working! I always have a pleasant experience with sumo sushi in Camarillo. I just recently tried their crab salad and it is amazing! I also LOVE their Alaskan roll. Almost every roll I’ve tried is absolutely wonderful. Give them a try for some great sushi. Thank you sumo for always a pleasure experience.
