The Curry Leaf

Only takeout and outside dining now with Covid. Our takeout was good but some of it not hot. I got there at the appointed time and the food was ready for pickup, but seems it may have been ready for a while before I got there. It was tasty, and there was plenty, just not as hot as it should have been.

This was my first time eating Indian food so I don’t have anything to compare it with. My buddy and I were in on a Saturday and although they were still closed the owner let us in earlier. This is a small restaurant with few tables but I really enjoyed the ambiance. Previous to the Curry Leaf we were up in Thousand Oaks in a place called Himalaya and we had to leave the place because of the way the place was decorated. The Curry Leaf is simple and all about the food. Staff was wonderful for us, timing was good and they were on top of things. The owner is a character. I was hoping he would’ve been a little more helpful with helping us to explain the menu to us so we could make a wise decision on what to order but that wasn’t the case. Either way he gave us good customer service and made us feel very welcome. Price was a little on the high end but was well worth the money. We were the first ones at this place but were almost the last ones to start eating. Place was really busy and I would say we waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. Once our food arrived the wait was well worth it. The bread, the lamb curry and the rice were delicious. Portions were filling and leave you satisfied. I adore this restaurant! They give first-cleass dishes, they have a nice menu, The chef in that spot is very experienced, I love a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I go often to this place and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend it.
