Amazing bread, items used to be sold out by the time I could make it (noonish) but recently they’ve had most things in stock. Every time I go to a restaurant or shop and think wow this bread /pastry is remarkable, it ends up being from Village Bread. Very kid friendly, excellent service, very reasonable prices, and delicious carbohydrates. The service window is especially convenient. I highly recommend the sourdough, baguette, and Croissant. I hope one day I can be as good of a businessperson as the owners of Village Bread.
I love bread.
They make great bread.
The problem is the wait. I get lucky enough to get behind the lady that orders 9 loafs, 1 at a time, with questions about each one. That I understand. What makes me so mad is that no one ELSE steps up to take the next order. The window guy is super nice, but it does not appear that moving the line is a priority. I will try again in a few months but that's my issue.

The bread is amazing. We wait in line and chat with those around, and we all mostly talk about how great the bread is. It’s worth the wait if you like good, real bread.

A truly exceptional boulangerie. The quality of the baked goods are superb and besides being friendly, the owner and staff go out of their way to showcase other local artisans and sponsor fundraisers benefitting nearby open spaces.
I've been to 'fancy' bakeries all over southern california and haven't found one yet that rivals Village Bread

This place is no joke. I’ve been to some of the finest patisseries in North America and this place is at or near the top. Crazy that it’s in the tiny burg of Calimesa! Whenever we’re here visiting family, this is a must visit.

Best bakery around! European quality breads and treats. I especially love their pretzels and ancient grain sourdough bread. The nicest employees and best bread!

Wow, it's like I've never had a croissant before. The pastries are divine. The bread is rustic and so satisfying. Do yourself a favor and go get several items to try. Everything is good.
