I kept reading that if I wanted an awesome pork chop sandwich this was the place to go. So, my wife and I finally made it last weekend, and WE LOVED IT!!! We were very impressed 👏!!!
You definitely get what you pay for, and I love restaurants that aren't afraid to feed you.
The whop chop was super delicious! With soft and toasted buns, and the juicy and moist pork chop squeezed between them( mouth watering). Also, I really liked the crispy and crunchy batter that surrounded the pork chop.
They aren't afraid to give you what I call jojos!! These were really delicious and had the perfect texture! My wife joked that it is like they just took the potato and cut it in four. Oh, and I had the poppers...AMAZING! They had just the right amount of cream cheese, just the perfect texture, and the perfect crunch to the batter cover.
The lady at the bar who took my order was really friendly and polite!! This place is two thumbs up to me 👍!

When in Butte you gotta try their pork chop sandwich. We went to Freeway cuz of the reviews and when I asked a couple locals they also pointed me to Freeway. Get the whop chop and ask for extra mayo. SO good!!! My hubby got the fried chicken. Chicken was perfectly cooked and so crispy plus juicy inside. It didn’t have too much flavour though. They have a list of sauces on their board so we asked for BBQ sauce to dip in. It was pretty good. If u get the chicken I recommend u ask for sauce. Fries were also very good. Hand cut just how I like them!

I ordered to go on a Tuesday, there were 2 other tables taken. The bartender was very kind and helpful. She explained some things in butte for me. I would reccomend the whop chop (deep fried pork chop sandwich) and thei ranch sauce, but definitely not their fries. They were kinda warm-ish and floppy and I don't think they had salt. (That is the reason for the -1 star)
I got the Deluxe with tomato and lettuce, and my husband got the regular with pickles and condiments. Make sure to ask for Mayo, mine came with no sauces.
Our two sandwiches cost about $20 and came with fries. We did not order drink or anything else.
CASH ONLY. There is an ATM inside that for me, was a $3 fee
Wheel chair accessibility = 2/5

So, the wait staff is much more fun and engaging than the food. Stopped here for the WopChop and was underwhelmed. It is an awesome ‘experience’ to say you had one, but they aren’t as good as you would think. Break off the over abundance of beer batter and take a couple bites, it’s worth the time.

Great burgers, small town ‘Mayberry’ like feel, with just of a ‘Happy Days ‘ atmosphere’. If you’re from out of town, and looking for a slightly mature type e Diner, with Beers and well drinks, but without the rowdy crowd, take the exit at Montana street and head south a block and a half or so, and it’s on your right, on the corner at light!

Cozy little bar with pretty decent pork chop sandwiches. Definitely a very homegrown feeling in the place. It's very authentic and the prices are very reasonable. Give it a shot.

Great pork chop sandwiches! Worth getting off of I-90 for a quick bite.

Worth pulling off the freeway for the best sandwich in Montana. Featured on Man vs. Food. The Wop Chop with Joes pairs nicely with a Squirt or a Rainer. A cool little bar with a one of a kind pork chop sandwich.
