Greeted by a very friendly host who answered our questions and offered some recommendations. We ordered 2 separate chicken dishes and a combination meat plate. The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken which was both moist and flavorful. The rice itself was tasty and it also came with beans and a plantain.

I took my students on a field trip for lunch (all 45 of them plus a bunch of parents!) and everyone loved it! We prepared our orders ahead of time so we could spend up service and we got seated, served, and out in the time we needed! Food was delicious and portions appropriate. I know some of my students have already gone back to visit with their families which was the point of me exposing them to new cuisines!

Friend introduced me to this place and I’ve been hooked ever since. Food is savory and staff are friendly. I’m not an expert on Colombian food but if all the food in Colombia tastes like this I need to book a trip soon. Check it out for great food and a good cup of coffee.

The place is always full during lunch time, the food is good and the serving is a good amount and at a fair price. Their lunch special went up though. Sometimes it takes the waiter a long time to get your order. I use to go here everyday for my lunch, but they got s little lazy on the cooking as well, one time my chicken was not cook all the way, so I stopped going.

First time eating Colombian food and Cafetal did not disappoint! My fiancé and I shared the dinner for 2 and were able to try 4 different meats, rice and beans, and plantains. The food was delicious and the service was great! Definitely will be back!

I don't understand all these high reviews? I went today and ordered a bandeja paisa mini. The food was below mediocre - the carne asada was super small, most of it was fat and was overcooked, and had no taste. the chicaron was overly cooked and hard to even try to cut up with utensils (which you shouldn't have to use them), and was not the usual serving size when compared to other Colombian restaurants. The only good thing about my lunch was the rice and beans after I added some picante sauce to give it more flavor. The service was lacking, saw my server once when I ordered my food, never saw her again. Will definitely be my last time coming here, not be going back anymore. Food quality has severely gone downhill, service extremely lacking, and the place is not what it used to be 2-3 years ago. Also I was told the cooks are Venezuelan? WTH should just change your restaurant name to reflect a Venezuelan name and the food as well.
Would avoid this place, food is not reliably good which is such a shame, since when I first moved to Buford it was good. Fast forward 2-3 years and I would rather have Taco Bell.

I don't understand how this place has so many good reviews. I once was served a soup full of hair. Not one, many!!! It look like a guy had shaved his head on it. Disgusting and gross! It was my birthday too, the manager apologized and offered to give me another dish but I had lost my appetite already, for life.
