Mtk Midtown Kitchen

We arrived a little late for our 10:45 after theater reservation as the play ran longer than the stated run time. MTK did not think we were showing up & closed the dining room. We were treated very graciously when we arrived & were seated in a dinning area with the tables taken down to accommodate the night time bar crowd. Two managers came out to apologize as did the owner. I spoke in length with Justin Klesic (one of the managers) who continually apologized for seating us in this room. The main reason this impressed me so much was that the room was fine. We received excellent food, wine & service. Ema, our server was very professional, attentive & sociable. We received three surprises during our excellent dining experience: (1) Management comped our meal (2) send us an extra glass of wine (3) gave us a gift certificate. There was absolutely no charge for the wine or the meal except for a voluntary tip I left for our server. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our experience brought back memories of when restaurateurs took great pride in their restaurants & always went out of their way to ensure that their clientele were 100% satisfied with their dining experience.

They made my girlfriend and I some awesome bloody Mary's, the pancakes and the wrap off the brunch menu were both top notch. This is a place where you should stay for dessert as well, because the cheesecake was made by their pastry chef and it was spectacular. I'll definitely be returning, this place is up there with Toutant and Deep South Taco as one of the best new restaurants in Buffalo!

It's a great facility but that's about it. They were stingy with the drinks (glasses weren't full; actually had to ask for bartender to pour more). The outside patio felt a bit high school danceish with a group of ppl gathered around the DJ booth. Overall vibe was just not good. We quickly drank and left

Basic food, assembled poorly presented and called a Brunch. Frozen potatoes, hard Waffles, Big unwashed mixed green salad, and eggs full of salt and pepper, Plus some mysterious dish and the usual suspects sausage and bacon. Totally unimpressed, after waiting 10 mins at the door to be acknowledged or seated, I went to the bar and asked if there was a hostess. Total joke!
