Airport Pizzeria

Just had pizza and BBQ wings, absolutely loved them both. The owner is a gem and we enjoyed our food.

Friendly Service, Great Food, Fair Prices. It has been very difficult for me to find a pizza place in Buffalo that has a trifecta of good qualities: great food, fair prices and great service. I have found many that have one or even two of these, but something is always missing that keeps me searching. I am not hoping to find a great place with dirt cheap prices, just FAIR prices. Sorry, I think $26-30 is too much to spend for large pizza and double wings.

One of the first places I tried when I moved to Cheektowaga was Airport Pizza on Genesee. I did not have high hopes, as it is right by the airport and has a kind of boring name. However, even upon walking in to pick up our order of a large cheese and pepperoni with a double order of wings (bbq and medium), I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner, smiling and friendly. I also noticed that the dining room, which usually is at best cleared of dishes, was clean, tastefully decorated and inviting.

Before leaving with my order (which was ready and hot when I walked in), I realized I forgot to order my standard extra celery and extra blue cheese. Now, I get very annoyed when pizza places don't even serve celery. What is better to cool down your mouth after a hot wing than blue cheese and celery?! Freezer-burned miniature carrots from who knows where don't cut it! I know this saves time, but for heaven's sake, cut some carrots and celery! Anyways, I told the owner that I had forgotten my extras, and I went to pull out my wallet, since this is always extra, which I am fine with. But he waved me off, handing me a generous amount of celery and a full container of blue cheese. I was taken aback and thanked him generously.

Of course, this only takes care of the "great service" I was hoping for. The cost was $21.99 for everything. Very reasonable. Not unheard of, but fair. My "fair price" standard was covered.

Now for the food! Well, if you like a classic Buffalo greasy, cheezy pizza, than this is the pizza for you! Just enough too, not to the point that it was falling apart, because that's annoying too. And for all that cheese, you would think they overdid everything and threw on gallons of sauce. Nope, it was just enough sauce to be tasty but not overwhelming. The wings were great as well, and very meaty.

I don't know what I was trying to accomplish by trying dozens of different pizza places in Cheektowaga, but I am going back to Airport from now on, and never looking back.

Coming from a Buffalonian that's actually had pizza and wings outside of Buffalo...this is REAL Buffalo pizza and wings. Sauce and cheese are just right, wings are on point...saucy, spicy, crispy, just right! We ordered our food at a little after 9 PM to our hotel near the airport...they gave us a heads up that delivery was running about an hour after ordering...about 40 minutes later the owner arrived with our fresh, hot, pizza and wings in hand...anyone that says Airport Pizza isn't good has clearly never experienced pizza outside of Buffalo...because this is #ClassicBuffalo #BuffaLove #SupportLocalBusiness #BillsMafia

Exceptionally good pizza and wings & enjoyed the more recycle-friendly packaging. The man working was very accommodating and welcoming. Well done!

Airport Pizzeria Cheektowaga, NY. Has been here my entire life. Went there as a kid and now as a retiree. Pizzas, subs, sandwiches, salads, antipasto are fabulous. They even cater! We especially love the salad with grilled chicken - chicken is just grilled and tender. Still haven’t tried all the pizza possibilities because I love the ones I always get! Mushrooms and onions, white pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, cheese pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. Salami sub with thinly sliced onions, cheese, let/tom, oil and mayo, then whole sub baked In oven to crisp up roll - love it! Local Place for pick up or delivery or eat in with small restaurant seating area like being in Italy or France! And then at Christmas, they bake fabulous cookies! And they typically have one kind during year in a jumbo size for the dessert lover. Owner and Staff are wonderful! Love this place!!
