Extremely cozy, and relaxing atmosphere. Service was top notch, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for seats at the bar. Eddy the bartender took great care of us. The food was extremely fresh, and the portions were a decent size. Price point wasn't bad for the quality of food. I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back again!

Amazing service. We had a reservation at 7:30 with 4 of us. Timing was great. Friendly hosts, servers, and staff. We had a ton of food. The ceaser salad, the dates, trout, meatloaf, corn chowder and brownie Ala mode. It was all presented nicely and tasty. Food was reasonable prices for the quality. We enjoyed the quality drink menu with a nice thyme drink and a few beers.

This was an incredible meal. We really enjoyed our time. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very worth the wait to get a reservation. Chef was accommodating to our requests for specific ingredient modifications. They have a great cocktail menu, as well. Romantic atmosphere and gorgeous food. Highly recommend!

I am very impressed that there are professional and skilled chefs willing to be out in Bryson City, NC when they could be making much more annually elsewhere. So far the BBQ and country style breakfasts have not been at all very good, but any place that is confident enough to have "bistro" in their name must be good. I took a chance and I don't regret it. I was surprised by others that ordered meatloaf when their is a skilled chef that is good at specialty dishes. Patricia and Garrett were very great with customer service and organization. You can't go wrong with the filets. Their drinks are my favorite part of this place. I had tried the Lavender and Lemon Drop drink. It was strong. It really made me tipsy after a few tiny sips. It was great. I 100% recommend this place.

Cute little bistro in a quaint downtown area. The menu choices are upscale, and the food is delicious. The place is small, so you'll want to call to make a reservation. They offer seating inside as well as on a covered, heated, outdoor area. The bar is small with only four seats, but you can order the entire menu there.

I had an overall wonderful experience here. The food was amazing and I really enjoyed the quiet ambiance. I had the hummus which was phenomenal, I was very impressed with it and I highly recommend ordering this(the best I've ever had). For my main meal I got the trout w/ veggies which was delicious and tender, juicy. If you order this you will not regret it, I promise you. My boyfriend got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. The meatloaf was tasty but it was a little too dense for me with all the meats. If you like your meatloaf to be on the lighter, airy side this entrée is probably not for you. The sauce for the meatloaf was incredible and perfect for it. The mashed potatoes and greens beans were fantastic as well. For dessert we got the crème brulee and it was a little disappointing so I recommend trying one of their other desserts (creme brulee is my favorite dessert so I'm particular about it). I did feel like it was too small for the price, the texture was slightly off, I felt the sugar on it was too thick making it harder to break and chew, and it was a little melted although it did taste good ( I did expect the crème brulee to be maple flavored and it was not only vanilla but the sugar on it was maple). I also tried the latte which was really good. Our server was nice but I was a little disappointed we were not told what the specials were for that day.

OMG! What a time at The Bistro. Excellent service, Excellent food. We're here on our 20th anniversary up from Ft. Myers, FL. This place is extremely small so please make a reservation. We sat at the bar which only seats 4 people but we've got to talk to the bartender and the two others next to us. SO much fun! We started off with the bacon wrapped, blue cheese stuffed dates, great! Then we both had the bacon wrapped filet and shared the Maple creme brulee. They don't open til 5:00pm so plan your dinner. I don't know what else to say(come here after the "Moonshine Train") except come here for amazing food and the experience. Hope you enjoy

When we first entered, we immediately noticed the lights are very bright (was tempted to put on my sunglasses) which was a real shame since its obvious the owners are really trying and the restaurant is pretty.. We thankfully sat at the bar where our backs were to the brightness. Extremely limited menu (only 4 entrees, no poultry offered) Unfortunately our food was lukewarm, trout was dusted in cornmeal, making it fairly dry. There was supposed to be a beurre blanc sauce, but it seemed more like an aioli, thick. I had the crab cakes which were delicious. Caesar salad was probably the best I've had but was placed on a plate that was too small, causing spillage with every bite. This restaurant is definitely a cut above the typical restaurants in the area. There is a chef in the kitchen and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, I would return despite the above comments. If the lights were dimmed, I'd welcome returning, but atmosphere is very important to my husband and me.

We had the bacon wrapped date with blue cheese filling. This was perhaps the best appetizer we have ever had. For our entree we had the meatloaf and it also was fantastic. The portions were very adequate and fairly priced. We had two cocktails that were above average.

Unassuming from the outside, and not ostentatious inside, this quaint little bistro is a real gem in an unlikely location. Greeted at the front door with smiles and warm welcomes, assured that they were glad to have me even without a reservation (which is recommended). Seated promptly, server arrived in moments with bottled water, ready to take a drink order or make recommendations. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, which made it hard to choose. My server was thankfully familiar with everything and ready to add details or make recommendations. I started with herb crusted goat cheese with a fig jam and olive oil crackers, paired with a milk stout. The cheese was delicious, and the fig jam smoothed it out perfectly. Entree was their lump crab cake over garlic roasted corn, topped with smoked salmon, and finished with a blackberry coulis. Took the chef's suggestion and paired that with a tart cherry cider. I was curious about how the coulis would match with the crab cake, and it was delightful. It added a brightness to it that was only enhanced by the cider. The crab cake itself was moist and firm with large lumps of crab meat. Delicious on its own, but amazing with the coulis. I come to this area every May for vacation, and this bistro will be added to my list of regular spots. Must return!
