Mi Cocina Restaurant

Traveling for business has its risks and rewards. This sweet little restaurant was pure reward! Clean, well lit and cozy with fresh hot delicious food. Clearly, it would have been easy to overlook the diminutive building and indescript parking area unless two hungry men weren't spying for a meal like two hungry lions. Good thing we were! Tab for the best meals of the week, under $30. Tip heavy, folks... it's worth every penny. Will return if ever we're back!

****Before reviewing the place or food itself, I'd like to mention that I placed my order online for pickup & the online menu lacked so many detail's on quite a few items. Plus the ability to modify my food or ask for condiments seemed to be available on 1 dish but randomly missing on the next. The platform or 3rd party they're using is trash!!**** NOW THE ACTUAL REVIEW This was my first time trying this spot. The torta was so good but I had no idea it even came with a side looking at the virtual menu. Enchiladas where also tasty but again, I didn't know what to expect when I took that first bite because the 3 way platter didn't say what 3 types they would be or offer options to pick from. Ordered both red & green sauce and neither was spicy enough for me 😕. Host was pleasant, food wasn't ready when I arrived but the wait wasn't long at all. Place is VERY small though- especially for a Mexican restaurant. I will definitely order from here again though in the future.

Very bland. The rice tasted metallic and very stale/old. Beans were just beans, bland. I had the 3 different enchiladas and they were all quite bad. The shrimp enchilada was shrimp in a tortilla that looked like play-doh. No flavor or seasoning. Actually all 3 enchiladas were just bad. Very odd food. I definitely wouldn't give them a 2nd chance. Definitely bottom of the barrel cheap cheap ingredients. Too much money for cafeteria flavored food.

Great Service, Great Atmosphere, and AMAZING food! I always start judging by the chips and the Salsa... I was impressed with how FRESH everything tasted, the chips were thick and crisp to perfection! We ordered the Ceviche Tostadas as an Appetizer, Horchata to Drink, and had the Carne Asada for dinner; It was covered by a nopal and it was the first time we ever had one, It tasted amazing. The carne asada was grilled to perfection, nice flavor and very tender. And finally we were surprised by a CHURRO for dessert! The staff is excellent, the friendliest you'll ever find! My husband and I always share our meals so we can taste a little bit of everything. The servings are very generous and the prices are hard to beat. Really impressed with everything. You'd never imagine finding such an amazing place at that location... Another reason you should never judge a book by its cover! Will be going there for our Mexican Food fix from now on!!!

Had to wait 10 minutes longer than my wife did for my plate and when I finally got my plate I couldn't eat my taco it just fell apart I believe it got left on the heat tray and forgot about not to mention we were seated by the bathroom in an empty restaurant with plenty of available seating out front was not pleased at all but the waitress was nice
