Winking Lizard Tavern

No matter how busy or crowded, I've always had a good experience at the Winking Lizard in Brunswick. We went there last night for dinner and our waitress was Nicole. She was super nice and efficient. We had a great time eating (of course) and playing music. Don't come in Saturday nights if you don't like 80's rock because we will definitely be there playing it this weekend. 😆♥️

We in all honesty were troublesome customers high maintenance but a couple food orders didn't come out right plus it's St. Patricks day so there was server issues but the Manger handled it like a rock star and went above and beyond! I've loved this place since i moved here from Illinois 3 yrs ago and them being totally awesome to my family visiting makes me love it more!

I was looking for the best wings in Brunswick... they're not here. I ordered from the website, it's kind of clunky. I did curbside pickup.and called when I got there, had to go in after waiting 10 minutes...they forgot I was out there! I got 2 orders of 10 wings(no flavor splitting) and deluxe fries. The wings were bland and had almost no sauce on them. The veggies and dip that came with 20 total wings were 5 pieces of celery and 2 little cups. The fries were pretty good.

Friends invited my wife and I to dinner, all day long I thought about the ribs I would be enjoying that evening. Come to find out ribs are no longer on the menu! The ribs are one of the signature dishes of the Winking Lizard! I couldn't believe it and spoke with a manager who told me it was due to Covid issues on how their ribs are purveyed and prepared. The absence of ribs on the menu is the main reason for 4 stars. I did order the 16oz T bone steak special for $12.99 and it was perfectly cooked and worthy of 5 stars. Hopefully the ribs make it back on the menu.

Food was great and the service was fast. Our waitress was very good to us and they sat my 4 year old right next to the lizard! He loved eating next to a lizard and it made the experience wonderful, which can be hard with my little guy. We ordered the rice, which I thought my son would eat, but it was not what we expected. It was brown and black long grain, so I ate it instead. My boy loves the macaroni there, also. Fries are the best! I had a salad and their homemade ranch is so good. My husband always gets the boneless wings. I love the winking lizard because it's family friendly and the food is always good. Just don't show up late when's there's a game on TV or during peak dinner hours.

Today I had a late lunch at Winking Lizard Brunswick. The establishment is very clean. As you enter feel free to grab a bag of complimentary pop corn. I passed by their large bar area with many televisions & drink selections. Beka was my server and she did an awesome job. Quick to greet me and ask for a drink order. When she returned, she did not expect me to be ready to order. I had the Big Ed, mid well with burger fries, extra pickle & mayo. A few minutes later Beka popped in to drop off another soda as I was just below half on my first. My burger came out (picture attached) and looked very good. It is a large burger and i could barely finish. I wish i would have ordered it medium because it was a little more to the well side, which dried it out a tad. Not to worry, my hand was still covered in drippings, mayo and the table sauce. On the plus side, I love the larger cut of fries! I will be back as I also enjoy their wings!
